Do your rooms have "themes". If so what are they?

No theme in our home. We have a recurrent use of grey with the same light grey walls throught the condo except for an accent wall in the kitchen and all the bathroom walls are a darker grey.

We have grey area rugs in the living and dining room over top of Hickory hardwood floors, a charcoal grey upholstered headboard and grey and white bedding in the master bedroom, and a grey sofa bed in the guestroom/office.

All in all it is very harmonious with a smooth flow from room to room.

NurseMandie:  No themes here. All the walls are a light neutral brown with a few dark brown accent walls thrown in. We try for comfortable and also not too feminine or masculine (since both FI and I live here lol). Our furniture is also neutral colored, though most of our accent pieces are jewel tones (blues, greens, oranges, etc).

We just bought our house 3 months ago and we are starting to get an Americana theme in our living room, a Japanese theme in our upstairs bathroom (when it’s done being remodeled) & a nautical theme for a guest bedroom.

Hmm my house looks like oddities meets disneania meets victorian/art deco furniture.

Everything is pretty plain since I can’t decide & of course DH doesn’t care either way lol, but for the kitchen I want teals & reds (I saved a palette pic for inspiration) more bright colors, dining room I want something black & gold (halfway there lol), RR pure blues and grays (love blues), bedroom is pretty minimalistic, living room is undecided. I’m thinking either light blue & saffron or navy & black. So I guess no themes, just color schemes. Though, simething they all have in common (except for RR) are flowers. Floral candles, vases, art, etc.

I wouldnt say… theme.  Maybe a color(s) that each room is based around.  Like living room has a red accent wall and grey couch, kitchen is white, black, red and bamboo, and bedroom is currently kind of blue and green.

NurseMandie:  No theme per room, but the whole house will have a vintage & modern vibe. The house was built in 1941 and has some of that charm. I’d like to incorporate some hex tile on the bathroom floor, farmhouse sink in the kitchen, some colors from that era (light blue??), and mix in stuff from stores like West Elm. Love the capiz chandelier!!

NurseMandie:  Oh, that would be awesome in a bathroom! Maybe you could find a small one for now?

no theme either.  my main floor is painted yellow and the upstairs and basement are grey.  each room has its own accent color(s) so they don’t look the same.  the only room that will have a theme (kind of) will be the nursary whenever we have a baby.  but i plan to do primary colors, it will probably just be abstract or shapes of some kind in the those colors.

I have a nice tacky apple theme going on in my kitchen. It was all purchased as a homewarming gift when we moved into our latest place. I didn’t get to pick it out, but I didn’t have to pay for it, either! The colors all tie in, though. We have a bit of burgundy and beige in every room.
