i was just married on Saturday and i used Katie from Sara Kate Events and she was a lifesaver!!!! She was there and handled the one big crisis of the day, thank goodness :-) She was so easy to work with leading up to Saturday, always available to answer questions or make suggestions. We got married upstate, and we used Jeanne Stark at Hudson Valley Ceremonies, but she coordinates events in NYC all the time. She's VERY reasonably priced, and was amazing the day of our wedding. My entire family loved her, and the staff enjoyed working with her as well. I'd be willing to bet her prices will beat out anyone, and she's truly invaluable! She might charge you a travel fee, but she'll still be very well-priced.
I am using Katie Berger as well. We havent had our wedding yet but shes been very helpful so far!

Thanks girls for all your helpful advice. I finally booked one and it's Katie Berger from Sara Kate Events. She is reasonably priced and very responsive.
I realize that this is an old post, but for future brides: I hired Kristy from Milestone Events and her services were an utter distaster. We actually asked her to leave our event. Quite obviously, I would not recommend her and everyone involved in my wedding--from vendors, friends and family--would agree that she does not belong in this line of work.
I just got married - and TOTALLY suggest using Exquisite Affairs Productions
Worth EVERY penny. We had Christine & her assistant Annie - who were both incredible. Do yourself a favor - USE EAP so you can relax & ENJOY YOUR day.
Katie was my DOC for my July 2011 wedding. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. Reasonably priced and always there to answer my questions. The day of the wedding there were some minor complications but Katie was able to problem solve and things turned out beautiful.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good DOC within the NY/NJ area? My wedding date is 9/18/2010. I did some research and found EAP but Christine and their whole staff is booked. Help????
