I am about two months away from my wedding and just realized how nice it would be to have a day of coordinator take over on my wedding day so I can enjoy the festivities. Since we hadn’t planned for this, our budget is very little or non existent. Can anyone recommend an affordable coordinator? I’m also open to new coordinators it students, but I’m noensure where to even start looking to find someone.

I havent worked with these people, so I have no idea if they’re any good, but based on prices i’ve seen around they seem cheaper than most, their website is very appealing, and I found them through A Practical Wedding, which is a good recommendation.

I’m using Anthony Navarro from Liven it Up Events and I can’t say enough about how fantastic he is. He and his company have won industry awards, been featured on 4 weddings, etc, etc. He’s a real pro. Not sure what your budet is, but compared to other DOCs I looked at I found his rates reasonable.

Thanks for the suggestions! We actually reached out to a wedding consultant we found online. She wasn’t available but referred us to her assistant who is starting her own wedding planning business. Since she’s brand new, she’s also super cheap and I’m sure will do a decent job.

In case the assistant doesn’t work out, I recommend Barbara at “Just Say Yes” events. She has been AMAZING – even though I hired her for just DOC, she has been in full contact with me and my wedding isn’t until November. She’s always available to answer questions, offer suggestions and recommendations, and she’s super responsive. Love her!

Glad to hear you found someone. In case plans change or for anyone else who stumbles on this post, I highly highly recommend Sandra and Adriana at Ur Event Ur Planner. We hired them for our wedding this past September. They are AMAZING. You can see our review on yelp here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/ur-event-ur-planner-chicago (Yes, they were that good that both my husband and I reviewed them!)
