I haven’t been to the doc for years. Literally. I have finally found a female GP would accepts new patients & have been waiting 5 weeks for this appointment.
Any ideas on what I should be asking?
We will be TTC next year…
So far my list includes-
pap smear & food intolerances.
Any other ideas?

What type of an appointment is it? A full physical is usually longer than a typical appointment.

@AB Bride: I guess it’s a first appointment – i know i’ve been allocated 20 minutes or so.
With a full physical, should they be done on a regular basis?

@Nic01: 20 minutes is probably just a meet and great.
Get whatever family history you have, along with your own medical history. You’ll probably just be talking to the doctor.
Yes, since it’s been 5 years you should probably have a physical. Here, a pap smear is typically done along with a physical, not as something separate. Blood work is usually done, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. Doctors here usually encourage people to get one done once a year, although people can be bad with making the appointment. New doctors also sometimes want to do a physical while skipping some of the tests since they can get the results.
Hard to say though as every country is different!

@AB Bride: Thanks for your help – it appears I have endometriosis 🙁
I’ve started a new thread about it in the ttc boards.
