My mom called me today and told me that her mammogram showed a lump deep in her breast. She’s supposed to have a biopsy on Wednesday and will get her results back Thursday.
I’m freaking out and worried although I’m trying not to worry too much.
So, if you’re religious, pray, if you’re not, send some postive thoughts my way. Two weeks ago my grandmother got sick and had to have polyps in her colon biopsied and removed and now this with my mom…
I’m just scared.

I will definitely say some prayers. I know it’s not easy, but try not to worry too much until you find out on Thursday. Hopefully all will be well and it will be benign.

Sending you all the Happy thoughts and Prayers the universe can handle. I agree with Heather, try not to worry too much until you get results. There are a million things that can show as a lump that are not critical.

I’m so sorry you have to go through this 🙁 Our family went through it around Thanksgiving. A lump was found in my Mom’s breast, it was biopsed a week or so later and found to be cancerous. The good news is, when she had a lumpectomy, the cancer had not spread. She needed no chemo and only radiation (which has minimal side effects). She finished radiation right before our April wedding, and is doing fine now 🙂 I’m sharing my story because I was so scared, too, and everything turned out OK. I’ll hope the same for you! Stay strong…. everything will work out.

My mom had breast cancer twice in the past 3 years. It’s a hard time, and I feel for you. Luckily, they were able to catch it in time and cut it out. If this is cancer, hopefully they caught it in time so they can just do surgery without chemo.
I’ll be keeping you in my prayers!

I went through this with my mom just a few months ago. Feel free to PM if you need someone to talk to 🙂

Thanks everyone for everything.
I’m really trying not to worry a whole lot, I know that a lump doesn’t mean cancer, but it is hard not to jump to that conclusion and freak out about it. I lost my dad 13 years ago, so the fear of losing my mom is quite real.
