Darling Husband and I are trying to decide whether to purchase a swing, bouncer or a mamaroo. The ads for mamaroos have us sold, but the pricetag is what is holding us back. However, Target is running a promotion for a $30 gift card with purchase and we have $100 in Target gift cards to use. So for less than $100 out of pocket we could just get the mamaroo vs a swing and bouncer. We’re in a limited living space currently while LO is a few months old so it seems practical to only have one equpment piece also.
So, anyone with little ones reccomend only having a Mamaroo or would I regret it and end up needing another device later?

@GardenRose: I think the mamaroo is pretty hit or miss. My daughters LOVES it, but there are 3 other September mamas whose babies hate/just tolerate it. So, if your baby loves it, you’d be all set! It’s great for small spaces, as well, since it has a small footprint. If baby doesn’t like it, then you may end up buying a traditional swing. We bought ours for $50 (or $75? I don’t remember) used. I’m not sure I’d have paid full price for it!

Agree with the previous poster. A friend of mine has the Mamaroo and her son liked it until he was 10 weeks old, then absolutely hated it. We have a traditional swing and our son loves it at 10 weeks. I guess it just depends on your baby.

We had a Mamaroo, and our daughter really never used it. We had a plain old swing for my older daughter and she loved it. But I really think it depends on the individual child.
