My MOH’s husband hope’s they have twins, but she doesn’t want them. They do run in her family, so who knows.

My mother wants me to have twins. Does that count? Lol.

@jesssamesssa:  I did for so long, and they thought I was because of how I was measuring and my family history but there was only one. Honestly I was kind of relieved. The thought of twins is cute, and I am sure any parent of twins says its awesome, but I think those of us that don’t have them or aren’t pregnant with them have NO idea just how miserable the pregnancy can be and how tough it is to raise two babies at once.

I have a puppy, and trying to raise him has been a crazy exerpience. I can’t believe I am adding a baby to this, lol.

AGH, no, I hope there is only one blueberry in there!

Everyone else keeps saying “wouldn’t that be fun though!” I’m not sure who they t hink this would be so fun for exactly!

We have no twins in our families, but would love to have a pair ourselves. I’m 20 weeks pregnant with a singleton currently, and I’m thrilled it’s only one the first time around. But if we decide to have more kids after this one, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a set of twins!

On one hand, I would LOVE twin boys.  But on the other, I know it makes things much more difficult from pregnancy to trying to handle two screaming babies, etc….so I also think I may be a little nuts!  After TTC for almost two years now with no luck, I will just be happy with whatever God gives us.

@jesssamesssa:  If we decide to have kids I would very much like to have twins. I would want more than one child but it would be great to get the pregnancy over with all at once and then be done with it forever. FI has an identical twin brother so you never know.

I have younger (fraternal) twin brothers so that is probably why…I remember what it’s like! haha.

No. I think it’s the most terrifying thing ever. I think people like the “idea” of twins rather than the reality…

lol I am so scared that if we have more kids, that they’ll be twins, and for that reason, I may just be one-and-done. lol

Seriously, I don’t know how I would manage 2 the same age. My DD was such a handful!

i love the IDEA of twins but probably not the reality. my fiance only wants 2 so it would be nice to “get it over with” in one pregnancy. if i had twins, i probably would be content with two and wouldn’t want to try for a third.

When I was much younger, I thought “oh twins, that would be fun!”  But then when actually thinking about the logistics of it all and talking with my aunt who has a set of twins and triplets, heck no would I wish for it!  It is a lot of expenses, I mean diapers are bad enough, but buying double the amount at one time?  And she said it is rare taht both babies would be on the same sleep schedule.  When her kids were younger, she was like a zombie mom!

Of course the kids are a bit older now and love having their siblings share birthdays.  Also twins can often have soical and identity issues that other families don’t have to worry about.  Like only playing with each other at school or not seeing themselves as a complete person.

Of course if I’m ever blessed with twins, I’d be super excited (and freaked out!) But I wouldn’t ever hope for them.  Practicality trumps cuteness for me!

My DH and I would like to have twins.  My DH actually had a dream that we had twins – and so did his best friend (about us)! Not KU yet – so we shall see.

And the only way twins “run” in the family is if they are fraternal twins. Hyperovulation – when the woman releases 2 eggs at once may be passed down. There has been no genes linked to identical twins.

A little bit. We are only having one child (unless we adopt) for a couple of reasons, one of which is a medical condition I have. Pregnancy will put a lot of stress on my body so its a one time deal. I wouldn’t be heartbroken if we had twins 😛
