Does anyone else always have to wait on their partners to go somewhere?

My hubby is similar. “Just one more level and I’ll be ready” or “Just need to shave”. We’ve had plans for weeks and you JUST NOW decide you need to shave? Men are fascinating creatures.

My fiance does this too! Pretty much every time we’re about to leave to go somewhere, I end up waiting on him. I’ll be walking to the door for us to leave and he’ll go “Wait! Gotta brush my teeth!” or something like that and I have to wait.

@tiffanyscanlan:  “Just one more level.” As the fiancee of a video game addict, I feel this on a spiritual level.

@CarolinaCola: Normally he’s good but sometimes he gets REALLY into his games. 😛

My fiance will be completely ready to go and nagging me so I will get my shoes and coat on and then he’ll say…okay now let me go to the bathroom and find my sweatshirt. GAH WHY MAN?!

@SouthernGirl:  hehe, this is me.  I have to tell him we need to leave at (10 minutes before we actually need to leave) LATEST because I know he dawdles.   I then give him and 30 and 10 minute warning.  And right on cue, the second we’re just about ready to leave he’ll say (EVERY TIME) I just need to go for a wee.  Of course you do darling. You say it like it surprises you every time, and yet I know what’s coming LMAO.  Luckily it doesn’t get on my nerves at all

Omg I totally understand. My fiance is pretty low maintenance, so he thinks he can wait until the last possible second to get ready. Which always means I end up waiting for him. It’s mostly just annoying, because we always give our dogs a treat when we leave and like to give it as we’re going out the door so they’re distracted (we’re crazy) and I just end up standing there with treats in hand and our poor dogs salivating at the mouth.

Blushing bee

Lol, anyone who knows me well, knows that the last thing I do before walking out the door is brushing my teeth.

This year though, FI and I have gotten this weird pattern. I sub at the school he teaches in, so in the mornings we are both working, I’ll be doing my daily routine and he’ll be sitting on the couch in his boxers. Then I turn around a minute later (literally, the man’s like The Flash) and he’s pulling on his jacket and looking at me as if I’m moving at glacial pace! But when we come home from lunch and have to get ready to leave, I’m the one waiting at the door for him.

My SO always makes us late. I am learning now to tell him we need to leave about 15 mins before we actually have to. He always sits on the couch until right before we have to go and then says oh I still have to take a shower! Then he will say ok ready to go and I get my jecket on (or I have already had it on for 10 mins and  I am sweating and cranky) and he’s says oh I just have to brush my teeth. So now I told him he’s not allowed to tell me he’s ready to go if he has anything left to do!
