@thehappiestbridetobe:  I literally had a breakdown and refused to plan anything for over a month after being engaged just 3 weeks. Venue searching just killed me. Luckily, I have four other brides-to-be that I’m close to and they all are feeling the same way, so it’s nice to vent and get support from them. I feel like there’s the myth that it’s just so much fun and such a wonderful time in your life… when really it’s very confusing and stressful a lot of the time.

@thehappiestbridetobe:  meee too! Kinda funny, our names both have the word “happy” in it LOL I am really ready for the day to get here so I can stop planning and just be married already! Maybe it’s just the time of year that’s making us feel this way….

@thehappiestbridetobe:  I do.. I absolutely despise wedding planning!

The only things I have enjoyed so far are designing our invitation suite and coordinating our color scheme. I’m mildly looking forward to dress fittings, even though I hated dress shopping. I’m excited to see how the seamstress will make my 3-size-too-big dress fit my new body!

@thehappiestbridetobe:  I took December off from planning. It was way too much for me with the added stress of Christmas. I did plan things in my head but nothing was actually set in stone during December.

Yes! I basically gave up on planning anything for the last 3 months because I just was so stressed out. My fiance wants to be consulted and involved in every little decision or he feels like “the wedding isn’t about him, too”, but when I bring up things that need to be done he accuses me of “only wanting to talk about the wedding all the time”. The wedding date is about 7 months away and sometimes it just feels like all the fun got sucked out of it.

I’m trying to recapture my initial excitement, but it’s hard. Hope you find your inspiration soon!

@thehappiestbridetobe:  It can be stressful at times. Just take a break.

And trust me, “eloping”, unless you are really truely running to the court house or vegas, takes a little planning too.

I absolutely HATED wedding planning! I found it so stressful and overwhelming a lot of the time. I rarely felt relief when I finished a task, because there were still a hundred more to do! Thankfully though, there was a light at the end of the tunnel and despite all the stress during the wedding process our day turned out to be surprisingly chill! It was very “us” and that was the goal!
