I feel like once I eat dinner, it has ‘opened’ my stomach more and I am even hungrier later. I tend to stay up late because I don’t have to be up early so I def. eat more at night. Like right now, I’m still hungry and just an hour ago I had chicken, rice, and a roll. Does this happen to anyone else? Shouldn’t I be full? I felt full at the time. What do you do?

I feel like this at times as well. I thought I was weird! There are times where I’m not hungry, but I’ll eat anyway for the sake of eating. My stomach then turns into a bottomless pit.

Hmm, this only happens to me if I have a hearty soup for dinner. For some weird reason it opens up my appetite. But if I wait an hour or so, I start feeling full. Weird… o_O

I do get night hunger sometimes. I find that if I don’t give into it, it will be diminished the next night. My body seems to remember when it is fed and needs to be trained that just because it is asking for food it won’t get it right away. My night hunger seems to be when all of my willpower goes away and I crave greasy or very sweet foods.
What I usually do is either try to completely ignore it, or make myself a small snack and try to savor it. I will make a half of a PB and honey sandwich, or a banana, or sometimes oatmeal with some honey or a couple of chocolate chips in it.
Usually if your body is craving something its for a reason and it is good to try and give it what it needs (within reason). Good luck!

@poppyseeds:I think at night is when my willpower is at the lowest too! I feel guilty then after a day of eating right and working out to do poorly at night.

Yea, I always get hungry a little bit later unless I absolutely stuff myself (which is not good). I hate that! But maybe you should eat smaller meals more frequently anyway. Then once you’re hungry again, you know it’s ok to eat again.
