With the weather turning, its time to go shopping for new jeans. Problem is, I hate wearing them. I much prefer dresses, but some situations require jeans/pants. I find them very uncomfortable. And because most of them don’t fit my body type well, they look bad on me. I was just curious if anyone else felt this way. If so, what do you wear instead?

I’m wearing jeans right now, and they feel like leggings. They’re Paige denim, which I had never bought before, but I tried them on and kind of fell in love a little.

Ugh, I hate jeans. I wear dresses, skirts, and tunic tops with leggings as much as possible. Jeans are too restricting and uncomfortable!

I do not like jeans! I prefer black dress pants, but the stretchier kind. They look great but are very comfortable. I live in Canada and ALWAYS but these at Dynamite

I like wearing them, I just hate shopping for them. You can’t find the length I need in stores, so I have buy online and hope they fit and are long enough. They often don’t fit since sizes vary so widely between stores. And of course once I find a brand/style I like…they get discontinued. Sigh.

Really? I LOVE jeans! Literally, I would live in my blue jeans and my yoga pants if I could. I was so excited that with my current job I can wear jeans to work every day.

It all depends. When I am in my cute skinny jeans, I love jeans. When I am feeling fat, not so much.

I don’t wear jeans, they make my arse look massive. Well technically my arse is massive, i can’t really blame the jeans!
I usually wear jersey or wrap dresses with tights or leggings in the winter with knee high boots. I think Bernadette in Big Bang Theory is my clothing twin 😀
What kind of situations do you think require jeans? I’m quite hourglassy so jeans are always tight on my hips and huge on my waist and generally just don’t look good. I think a dress is comfier and looks more classy and put together than jeans. On me at least, as I think I look lumpy and uncomfortable in trousers!

I only hate jeans on the days that my jeans feel too tight 🙂 Then I wear leggings. Jeans are one thing that I find usually are worth investing in. As Blondebee discovered, have you ever tried a more upscale pair like Paige, Seven or Joe’s? You can get them consistently at nordstrom rack for 100 (instead of in store for 200) and for a decent pair of non designer jeans you pay around 60 ish. It’s not a terrible price for jeans when you consider how much more wear and comfort you will get out of a good nice pair.

@Mrs. Fireworks: OMG i swear by Paige jeans!!! I’ve worn all sorts… and for awhile only had Hudsons but Paiges are AMAZING!!!!
My office is really casual so I wear jeans to work practically everyday…. and dress up only on occasion when it calls for it. I LIVE in my Paige jeans!

@BlondeBee: I think I’m wearing Paiges in my engagement photo. If you don’t mind me asking, do you know what style you’re wearing? I want jeans that feel like leggings. Love leggings!

I hate wearing pants in general…so yes. I do have a few pairs of Lands End Canvas slim leg jeans- they’re comfy enough that I don’t want to tear them off the second I get into the house.

@misspeanut: I agree with her. I love jeans but hate trying to find a pair that actually fits well on me.

Yes! They never fit me right (very big booty but not much waist & thin calves), and they don’t look flattering. They’re also not comfortable. I try to avoid them at all costs, and wear very thick leggings (read: not the kind of leggings that look like tights!) or sweater dresses whenever possible in the fall/winter.

I love jeans. Lucky Brand are my favorite.
