your dress won’t fit?
I’m a month out and have my second fitting today and I’ve been super afraid for days that I’ve gained too much weight and the dress won’t fit. It’s not helping that I’m pretty sure my scale sin’t working correctly. (It told me I gained about 10 lbs in 4 days, which I don’t think is possible since I’m not like… bing eating).
Rationally, I know that my body probably hasn’t changed *that* much in 2 weeks since the dress was pinned. At the same time I know I have been slacking off with exercising because I’ve been super busy with the final stages of my MA thesis and working. I guess I need to start really kicking it in to high gear starting TODAY so that I can look toned and perfect in the dress.
Anyone else constantly afraid that the dress will either end up too small OR too big? Or am I just a weirdo?
And what the heck, I’ll try to add a few photos of my dress just for fun. (These are when the dress was pinned, but not actually altered or finished) You can see that I need to lose a few pounds to get rid of the crinkle across the hips. Sorry they’re so big!

I worry about everything, but the dress not fitting isn’t on the top of my list. I’m more worried about not being comfortable in it, but I guess that is sort of related to the fit. Most people only fluctuate a few pounds, so as long as it’s not bordering on too tight or too loose to begin with, I think it should be fine.

@EleanorRigby: Thanks! I’m trying not to be a weirdo about it, especially because we have so much more important stuff going on right now. We’ll see this afternoon how it looks and I’ll be able to gage myself a little better. After today, I’ll still have the final fitting two weeks from now (two weeks out) so I know its not the end of the world.

I love your wedding dress!

Beautiful dress! Normal to worry, but if you find a great seamstress, you won’t have a problem!

First off, your dress looks awesome on you.
Secondly, yes I am totally paranoid. Mine comes in next month and I’m sure I haven’t gotten any larger, but I’m also totally paranoid it’s not going to fit. I was about 1/2 inch over the waist measurement (no spanx or anything, total bloated that day so clearly a little room for error) and she decided to order the smaller size for me anyway because the size larger was the sample which was clearly a size or two too big. Which made sense and I signed off on it, but now I’m all worried because I have Issues.

Not worried… unless I get pregnant. And eat horrible while pregnant. Or get pregnant later this summer….
so, all in all, nope, not worried at all! LOL!
LOVE the dress!!! VERY pretty and it looks great on it!

I’m terrified! If my wedding hit’s near my time of the month I’ll be in big trouble… I’m thinking of getting the zipper removed and having a lace up corset added to avoid a wedding day disaster.

I also worry my 2nd fitting is on this coming Saturday. I worry because I well found out we will be expecting a little one come fall and I am worried that my dress won’t fit, this little one needs to not show until after the wedding which is in a month

I am worried I will get pregnant.
I found out my S.O was being deployed and I got my IUD out as I was all in a shamble about whether I should start TTC before he left.
Well turns out he popped the question and we decided that we would wait until he returned from the ‘stan.
well, I’ve bought my dress and she would NOT fit a baby in there…

I worry about this and I haven’t even had a first fitting yet 🙂 It is normal to worry a wee bit, just don’t let it consume you.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one! But I was thrilled today when it still fit. Yay!
