@Aquaria:  Yes. It seems as if every time I’ve looked at or out of a window in the last few days, I’ve seen one crawling along the screen.  I have only seen three inside — all in the basement — and I didn’t have a way to capture them and flush them, so I decided to kill them.  I was surprised when they did not actually emit a foul odor.

My parents had a lot of them over the holidays last year while we were visiting, and we kept capturing them in tissues and flushing them.

@Aquaria:  YES. and they are driving me insane!!! I use a dust buster to suck them off the walls/ceilings. Keeping the windows closed (despite gorgeous weather) seems to help but those assholes keep finding a way into my apartment! At one time I counted 11 in the whole place– I was livid.

@Aquaria:  I am with you in spirit right now. Get him and bring him to a swift death.

Oh yeah!  They’ve been on our screens the last few days, and I just killed one inside.  It didn’t actually stink, and I just smashed it with a shoe *shrug*

We live in the mountains so we always have huge creepy bugs in the house. The other day I moved a rug and a scorpian came running at my bare toes with it’s stinger up. 🙁

@boogiewoogies:  OH NO, I don’t think I could handle that at all!  I’d scream, grab my cats, and run to the nearest highest surface.  What’d you do?  How’d you get rid of it?

@beekiss:  Oh my goodness, you don’t even know…

Last year we were plagued by scopions…I mean at least one a day would be found, usually under a rug. At the time we had 3 cats in the house and they never fail to seek those suckers out…the thing with the cats is, they play with the scorpions and then kill them and eat their bellies. For weeks we would find dead scorpions without bellies and then we finally saw the cats in action.

The cats would get pinched on the nose, stung on the cheek, etc and just keep going, totally unphased.

When this thing came at me the other day, I had no cats in the house. They got big enough that I let them out to be wild things in our mountains (their dad was feral so they act pretty feral). I just screamed at the top of my lungs and FI came to the rescue. Normally, we kill them but I’ve been getting sensitive to killing bugs and things that can easily be moved outside lately so I asked him to just fling it outside somewhere.

I used to just kill them on my own, but the other day I was barefoot and it’s stinger was up…not a good sign! Lol!

Yes! Everywhere! Luckily, only a few have actually made it inside the house. Where are you from? We’re in Ohio

My dog just killed one in the house about an hour ago! I didn’t know it was a stink bug, but it definitely had an odor to it…

We have a ton but they don’t even bother me in the least thank goodness. To me, they are just ugly and slow and harmless…not like the freaking monster spiders I have seen way too much of lately.

Does anyone know if there is truth to the rumor that the stink bugs smell terrible if you smash them? I’ve always wondered…
