Yes... Every single day. I'm a student too :)
I applied to three this week! It would be great to not earn minimum wage...
I only work part time and my job is relatively good (although I'm paid min. wage I spend 80% or more of my time doing homework), but I can relate! I've been scouring for jobs to apply to a) that are full time should I not get into grad school and will need to get a grown up job come may and b) a job that offers more hours/is more relevant should I get into grad school. AGH its impossible. It seems like you either need a crap ton more experience than I have to do entry level work (like seriously a B.A. plus like 5 years to do like clerical work or something) or go do something mind numbing and low wage like flip burgers ect.
I don't ever want to leave school!
YES!!!!!
I am moving with my fh in June (to Austin) so I am CONSTANTLY looking at jobs :)
I'm not doing this anymore, but I certainly was for awhile! After my obsessive search, I finally found a new job and I'm SO much happier! I totally understand how you feel! Good luck on your search, and be patient...I was just about to give up when I got an interview for my current job!
My husband does this all the time. He e-mails me jobs ads that he would like to apply to if only we lived __________ (fill in blank). I find it odd but endearing.
NO THANK YOU! I hate, despise, get annoyed by job hunting
However, SO does it on a daily basis!!!!
Yes, even though I also know that it is sort of unreaslistic since I am still in school so I couldn't really work a normal full time job schedule. That doesn't stop me from looking, though. Even a better part time job would be worth it!
@ WendyS328 Yes! When i have tried filling out job apps i get all frustrated and annoyed. And i have gone in for interviews... and its the worst!!
Yes! I am graduating with my master's in May, then 3 weeks in Malaysia for the wedding, then...? I NEED a job when we get back! I look all the time :(
What job sites do you all look at? Im just starting looking for work again and would love some pointers on where to look!
Graduating in May, and moving to my new town over the summer... so I'm always looking! Pretty soon I need to start narrowing down instead of finding new ones, though!
I am in the exact same boat as you, and can't wait to not work here, but I only randomly occasionally look at job postings. More to get ideas for things for when I finish my bachelor's. What's sad is, I will more than likely take a HUGE pay cut when I change jobs after graduation. If I wasn't bored to tears with my job, I probably wouldn't by worrying about my education.
@Arancia... I use my school's website (you can probably use your school's, even as an alumni), monster.com, indeed.com, jobfox.com, and then my local newspaper's (washington post jobs). I also look around for what companies are around my area, google them, and directly apply via their website.
Haha yes, you are not the only one! My current situation is ok...but my coworkers and I are really bored with our jobs so we all sort of look around...
I'll probably start looking soon. We live 32 miles each way from my work right now and my FI just got a new job (laid off 11 months ago) very close to his school and our apartment. I go to school very near my work, but I graduate in May. There's really nothing keeping me at my work after that. I love the people I work with, but the commute really sucks.
I'm not working but I'm starting to get desperate to find a new job. I am harrassing one company basically
.
FI and I are moving in May so I am looking for jobs right now. Hopefully we will both be able to find jobs soon after our move.

I was wondering if i was the only one who did this?
I am registered to a couple of student job boards and I randomly search big corporations looking for jobs they have available.
Now... I know I couldnt just quit the job I have: the money is good, the benefits are good, i get hours that work with my school schedule.
But... i cant wait to not work there anymore!!
Does anyone else look at job postings and wish there was a perfect one out there so they wouldnt have to work at the place they work anymore? Cause I do...
