I got my dream dress, and I am 100% sure that it is the one. I had seen it online and was obsessed with it since last year. I was hoping I’d love it just as much when I tried it on and luckily for me, I did!
Buuuut…..I only tried on one other dress. Because of this, part of me wishes I would have tried on more dresses. Not because I would have wanted another one, but for the whole experience of trying on different dresses, ballgowns and all. So fun!
Anyone else who got the first or second dress they tried one feel the same way?

Consider yourself lucky! I can’t even remember the number of dresses I tried on. I know I went to 11 different bridal salons…so if you say I did at LEAST 5 (sometimes 10) at each…that’s over 55 dresses. And I didn’t even try the dress I bought on…I bought it online!
So, don’t worry about not trying on other dresses. If you know it’s the one, you aren’t missing a thing out there in dress land!
Congrats on finding the one! I still second guess mine. I guess I’m just not a wedding dress type of gal.

Yes, I definitely regret it. I am the type of person who loves trying on dresses, so I wish I tried on 100! I only went to two different places because I left the dress shopping until kind of the last minute (a little less than 7 months out – not too bad, but I didn’t want to have to rush a dress or buy a sample). I tried on probably about 15 or so dresses, and the dress I ended up getting was the one I had been thinking about since I started looking online. I’m pretty sure it is my dream dress, but I tried on a lot of pretty dresses the second day (when I tried my dress on) and felt like I didn’t really have enough time to figure it out. Also, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures, so without anything to look at while I wait, I’m worried that I’ll change my mind when I see it again! (I really do love my dress though, it’s gorgeous! I just don’t know if it is the best dress for me!)

Yes and no. When I bought mine I loved mine and there weren’t many like it. This season there are a TON more like the syle I bought, and many I am sure I would have loved more or at least the same.
But at the time, there werent that many options going for the look I wanted. So, really, I kind of wish my wedding was later so I could have had access to the newest season of dresses!

Nothing says you have to stop!
Of course, if you’re the type who can’t window shop, you shouldn’t tempt yourself. 🙂

Yes. I only got engaged in May and I’m getting married in August so time was a factor for me. I had to purchase something off the rack. I’m a size 2 or 4 so stuff in my size was limited. I found a dress I like a lot, but part of me wishes I had had more time to look around or try on stuff that wasn’t in my size so I could order.

I totally get what you are going through. Though I did try on about 10 dresses before I bought my dress, on the first outing. It took me going through a whole dress fiasco before I could really appreciate my dress fully like I had the first day. You’ll have to see my posts to get the back story, cause it is too long to go into here.

No, I only tried on 2 dresses as well. My gurl who fit me like a glove was the winner. I didn’t feel that I had to try any other dresses.

Not at all. I bought my dress last year in August and I’m getting married next year, so 2 years and abit before hand. I do not regret it one bit. Yes I still look at other dresses and do the whole ooohhhh, ahhhh soo pretty, but I wouldn’t change mine for any other one

I tried on six total, and that was more than enough. I really didn’t enjoy the wedding dress shopping experience that much and was glad to get it over and done with. The first store we checked out didn’t have anything I really wanted to try on and the salesgirl pretty much ignored us. At the second store, the first dress I tried on was THE dress. Every one I put on after that just seemed superfluous. I made myself try on all six that the consultant pulled for me just to make sure I was making the right choice, but it was obvious I only had eyes for the first one.
Plus the industrial strength lights in those places make you hot and sweaty, wedding dresses are heavy and annoying to put on and take off, and I don’t like trying on clothes with a bunch of strangers sitting around gawking.

I purchased at first store, first dress! haha. I tried on two or three more afterwords just for good measure but nothing compared… When you know, you know!
Sometimes I’ll see other pictures of dresses and think “maybe I should have…” but those are fleeting thoughts. The moment I tried on my dress once it came it, all doubt was erased!

I regret getting mine so early on. Every time I go in to a bridal shop to look at jewelry, MOB dresses, anything I end up looking at the wedding dresses even though I shouldn’t & I always see some that I want to try on so bad!
