I have seen a lot of brides get upset at guests wearing white, so for that reason I dont think its weird. I think its really weird because I doubt everyone on facebook is invited, so why tell everyone? To make someone feel bad?

That’s really funny. I mean, I shouldn’t have to tell anyone to not wear white.

It’s weird, but it’s her wedding. To each her own.

The conversation has been had here a billion times, maybe even two billion times, about white and guests and there are plenty of people who do and would where white, just like there are brides who dont care and care. I had 2 guests where white. They were tasteful dresses that in no way “competed with my drees” so why would I care? One was a suit with a red blouse and the other had some flowers trimming the bottom and was knee length.

So if the bride is that adament about no white, might as well say it. Although I do think personlly she should care (unless someone was trying to wear their wedding dress!)

Haha that sounds funny to me. I think she is just excited about the wedding (ie: the countdown) and maybe a little insecure about people wearing white?

I dont personally care about the white dress thing because I believe that no one can steal the show from the bride! Not even Pippa 😀

hahahahaha I die at your “I was planning to wear my wedding dress to the reception” comment.

I do think is a lot of show I guess, like look at me I’m getting married in a year!, ok everyone who cares know about it, is perfectly normal that you are exited jut don’t overreact about it. I found it annoying for the people who is not invited, I mean at this point I guess no one knows if they are invited, but when they realize they are not invited all that wedding thing will be just a reminder of that, don’t you think?…I know that I would feel like “ok I’m not invited so I don’t care much about it” you know what I mean?

Still laughing at that comment hahahaha I’m so mature.

The other thing is that with a 3-year engagement, she’s gotta be struggling to keep the enthusiasm alive.  I haven’t posted anything about my wedding on facebook, because not everyone’s invited.  I also didn’t feel the need to tell anyone not to wear white, but we’ll see how that goes.  However, she’ll be engaged for the length of my entire relationship from officially dating to married, and that’s a long time to be waiting for something, having others meet and get married, etc.  So I can forgive her a bit for being wedding-crazy on facebook.  You long-engagement bees amaze me, because I just don’t have the patience!

@Baileyh: After a year of planning its hard for brides to surprise me anymore! Tongue out

EDIT- I would also assume its a work in progress and maybe hasnt made a hotel block yet etc?

I think its odd that they shared the website and all hey have is the countdown and the “dont wear white” I havent even given my info out to family because i dont think i have enough info on it yet lol…

And I dont think you should post that on facebook unless everyone on facebook is going to be invited And I would not put pictures of the dress im going to wear on face book (I have posted a few pictures in a album that only my BM can see but thats diffrent)

So yes i think its strange and she should really work on her wedding website if she is going to give out the info….

@lefeymw: I was thinking that too at first but atleast on the wedding website sites i have been on (sadly quite a few) You can hide the pages you dont have info on and there are usualy pages on there for brides maids and a ton of other things you can post if you dont know a ton of info…
