Honestly the whole thing sounds pretty petty and immature.

I would’ve been hurt too if I was the younger cousin, but to draw it out over the course of an entire month and make plans NOT to speak to her sister at an event that’s 30 days away?

Wayyyyy too much drama over nothing.

Did I miss something? Is there a link to another story to which the title of the post refers. I can’t see the story/information/question.

ETA: Okay its showing up now. Not sure what happened. But, yes I think it was rude and a little insecure of his part. What’s the big deal? She was just happy and trying to be supportive, sounds like he is ego tripping to me. I hope she feels better soon (younger cousin).

I have no clue why the bf would think he has any right handing out something that was purchased by someone else…that is rude.

But at the same time, it’s not something worth getting that upset over in my opinion, and not something to avoid talking to family over.

I think the younger cousin should talk to her sister and explain why she feels hurt by their actions and hopefully evreyone can get past it.

The “bf” sounds like a jerkface. It’s totally okay for your cousin to be upset over his behavior. It sounds like it’s part of a bigger pattern.

I think it’s extremely rude, and just makes me question how he acts on a daily basis. I’ve dated this type. Bad news all around. I’m sorry she had a kid with him – her life is going to be 1000% harder because she’s with someone like that.

If any of that sounded mean or uncalled for I totally apologize..I’m still slowly getting over how much anger I have left over from that relationship that lasted over 3 years.

🙁
