I’m not quite as bad, but I definitely have added people that I didn’t reeeaaally want to.

My fi does it, …as soon as someone mentions the word wedding, his automatic response is “you should come!”. even people he hardly knows. its worse when we’re in group situations and im trying my best not to look absolutely horrified at the invitations to all and sundry haha

im a teeny bit similar, even though there are some people im not superclose to, ill like them and think “i wish i could invite them”. but then i remind myself my max wedding would be 100 people and we’re already at the limit!

Nope. I don’t even really like answering people’s questions if they’re not invited. I know they asked, but it feels so rude to me because I can’t be like “oh why don’t you come!”

A strict capacity limit at the venue stops me from doing this.

Nope. I rarely talk specfics about my wedding with people so it never happens.

Nope, if people ask for invitation or mention it, I just kind of laugh and change the subject.  We have a strict capacity and are already teetering on the edge of it.

That’s not good. These people will be offended and hurt if you don’t follow through with the invites, and if you do you’re going to break your budget!  If someone asks me something about my wedding I will answer them, but I won’t randomly invite people that aren’t supposed to be invited.

My problem is if they think they are expecting an invite I clam up and just nod. I don’t say anything because I don’t want to hurt their feelings but I know if I don’t say anything and their expecting an invite it will be alot worse. I’m trying to be more assertive in telling them we are having an intimate wedding and it’s limited to closest family and friends, sometimes FI has to step up and say it for me though. I’m a people pleaser, can’t stand hurting someones feelings.

@Missloveknot:  I did it again this weekend!  I went to a co-worker’s 40th birthday party, hit it off with one of his aunt and uncle’s, and invited them!!!!  Ahhhh!  Hahaha.  So now someone else’s Aunt Mary and Uncle Dan are invited haha.
