I can completely relate. We’re basically planning 2 weddings (one in Canada where I live, one in Kentucky where he lives) and it’s so hard to plan out of state!! Its hard not knowing what is available or hard to find items online, especially companies based in smaller states. Ugh!!

We are making a seating plan because I’ve never been to a wedding without one. If you don’t feel its 100% necessary than I say scratch it 😛

I’m sure you’ve got everything under control, but do you have a checklist already? If not, definitely make one! It really helps to know what you have done & what still needs to be done! When it’s on paper sometimes it can be less overwhelming… organization IMO is the key to sanity. Don’t get too stressed, it will just makes it harder to get things done!

We’re not making a seating list. 🙂

I totally feel you on being overwhelmed. Sometimes I just want to sit down in a hole and hide until it’s all over. Between trying to plan the wedding, taking 5 classes, ta-ing for 1 class, applying for grad school, and graduating  in May, I feel like my head is going to spin off.

My best advice is to just breathe and try to put things in perspective. It’s just one day. You’re marrying the man you love. (Easier said than done, lol).

Oh yeah… it’s awful having to rush! I would never have suggested throwing a reception in his state had I known what kind of ridiculous work it would have involved. I have zero resources either & have to go off my gut feeling. Makes me mental.

So you got to see your venue in person? Thats good that you atleast got to see your vendors face to face vs just talking to them on the phone! Did they ease your mind at all?

I am doing assigning tables but not seats!

Its the best of both worlds – you don’t have to worry about reserving the “good” tables for family but you don’t need to worry about a seating plan – I am sure that everyone will figure out how to arrange themselves at a table!
