Share it here! I fluctuate between a size 4-8 (usually a 6). There is, at most, a 5 pound difference between each size (I am only 5’3″). I don’t have an emotional relationship with food but I travel quite a bit and have a lot of temptation. I work out but this has absolutely no effect on my weight, just my muscle tone. I usually have to “clear my calendar” to lose weight and I wish I didn’t have to do this.

@nycsa: it’s hard to eat well when you’re traveling, but if it is an issue for you then you just have to buckle down and make better choices! A lot of restaurants offer lower calorie options, and you just have to be conscious of what you’re putting in your mouth. Also, watch your drinks! That’s what gets most people in trouble at social events.

@BlondeMissMolly: European restaurants don’t really offer lower calorie options per se but I know I should be limiting the alcohol in the next few months until the wedding/honeymoon.

When I used to travel for work, I learned that you can ask for sauces to be withheld or served on the side. I also used to tell them I was allergic to butter.
It’s amazing how many restaurants can grill meat, fish and chicken when faced with the possibility of a customer with an anaphylactic reaction in the dining room. Ask for vegetables steamed with no butter.
You don’t have to limit yourself to ordering what’s on the menu.
