So, I know that the ring process is going to start soon. I REALLY would love a moissanite and my boyfriend knows and is fine with it.
Basically, I’d like an 8mm round FB moissanite on a (maybe less than) 2 mm pave band. Eventually (anniversaries, etc), I’ll have multiple delicate diamond bands around the ring, so…
- do I need to have a moissanite center stone set onto a diamond pave setting?
- If so, do jewelers really do this or are they brats about working with moissanite?
- If you can’t tell a big difference between pave moissy and pave diamonds, then I’d encourage my boyfriend to order off moissaniteco… feedback is appreciated 🙂
~I’d love to see if any bees out there have a diamond wedding band next to a moissanite banded e-ring.~
I just don’t want there to be a noticable difference between the moissy band/diamond bands!

@Mick0304: I have a Moissy center with diamond channel set on my e-ring. If anything, the diamond channel set stones look dull in comparison to my moissy. But I don’t think there’s any problem with mismatching a large moissy with tiny diamonds (like I have).
What you are describing sounds gorgeous! Lots of Bees buy a loose Moissy and then have it set with a local jeweler. On the other hand, lots of us get our Moissy set in the first place (MoissCo is very popular). So something like this for you?

Moissanite center, diamonds down sides of shank and diamonds in wedding band. IMO I think they look totally fine. I see no dif as the diamonds are considerably smaller than my moissante. We ordered from moissaniteco and were extremely happy.
EDIT: also diamonds in halo 🙂

@Mick0304: I think you need to add a third poll option: Doesn’t matter either way!
