I gained 40 pounds within a small amount of time after my fiance and I first met, probably within 6-8 months.  After we got engaged last June, I lost 10 pounds.  I would have liked to loose more, but I’m mostly happy where I am right now.  I was a bit too thin I would say when we met.  It just depresses me that I can’t fit into a lot of my clothes that I used to, but a lot of those clothes I probably shouldn’t have worn in the first place! (Too short, too tight).  Do what makes YOU happy.  Don’t go by the scale either, go by how you feel! It’s hard, but it’s a good idea!

@sealevels:  YEah I need to lose like a thousand pounds.

LOL
Right now I’m at 256 (my highest) and I’d like to be maybe 130? 140? I don’t know. I’m tall and thick/big boned so I don’t know what would work for my frame.

At the very least I’d like to be maybe 180 for my wedding.

I do.  We’re going to TTC soon and I’d like to drop a considerable amount of weight.  I’ve been eating better and will be joining the gym (again) after this paycheck.

I was 211 most recently which is only 8 pounds less than my highest. I’m currently at 195, and set my goal weight at 150. If not that, I’d really like to be at least 170 or so for our wedding in February. FI and I are just trying to get healthier since we are probably going to TTC less than a year after the wedding.

I injured my back 2 years ago and have put on some weight since then. I’m up to 187 which is the heaviest I’ve ever been :/. I’d like to get back down to the 150s where I was in highschool, but would even be happy with the low 160s. The BMI thing says I should be in the 130s-140s, but being large chested and very muscular I don’t think I can sustain a weight that low. I’ve started working out gradually because I’ve got a foot injury, but it’s healing so slowly that I can’t wait for it to heal before I start losing weight. I was as active as I could be on my foot this last weekend, and I think my weight will be heading down soon.

The best thing you can do is understand what you are putting in your mouth and why it hurts or helps you lose weight. Come over to myfitnesspal.com – it’s a great resource. Add me as a friend if you like!

@sealevels:  I’m going to give PlanetFitness a go.  They’re only $10/mo and no contract.  I figure if I hate the gym itself, I’ve only lost $10.  They supposedly have a “Biggest Loser” circuit workout that is great.  I’m going to build up to that and see how it goes, but I mainly need to get moving with some cardio!

@Chrysoberyl:  I need to lose a thousand pounds too!

@sealevels: I am currently on a Jillian Michael’s kick, and I am going to use her videos until they don’t work anymore (which I hope won’t happen if I change it up enough). I just started too, and it feels like a long, terrible road ahead :-

@sealevels:  My injury jammed my hip and spine together and I’m left with permanent sciatic problems, biking actually tends to hurt that a bit and coupled with my lovely respiratory disorder bikes are not so much my friend. I’m a walker at heart, and a horsebackrider when I’ve got the money. My apartment complex just bought a fancy new treadmill that I’m enjoying.

I am a yo yo girl myself. I am 229. This is the heaviest I have ever been. I lost my grandmother in February and experienced a lot of depression. My friend recently motivated me and we started Weight Watchers together this past Saturday. Today has been great so far. I wish all of you ladies the best! I make have to purchase a Wii, I hear great things about the different exercises you can do. I want to do Zumba on it.
