@jenny8283: if you go to the maggiesottero.com and look up the mona lisa dress (it comes in two styles, mona lisa and mona lisa royale, and i think the only difference between the two is the material of the dress), you can see “real brides” wearing the dress.

@jenny8283: i believe the royales are silk while the “non-royales” are polyester.   Not sure of the exact price difference for the mona lisa, but the maggie autumn and autumn royale dress had a $600 difference ($700 compared to $1300 for the royale).

Hey Jenny,

Here are the pictures I promised you. I took them in poor lighting, and it really does not do the dress justice. I got my dress in ivory and it cost me $1300. The Monalisa Royale is a little bit heavier than the monalisa, but I found that I like the material better on the royale. The Monalisa felt like windbreaker material… but it’s completely up to you!

I have pictures for you of me in this dress (Monalisa) the difference is the Monalisa is Taffeta and the Monalisa Royale is Satin. Keep in mind the dress in the picture is a size 10 and I need a size 4 (it was the sample dress at the shop). So it looks big and is held up by several clips but you can still get an idea of what it looks like on a real person.

Here is a close up of the top portion of the dress as well. Let me know if you have any further questions I have looked up every detail of this dress since January when I found it and became obsessed with it….ha, ha!

I also have the Maggie Sottero Mona Lisa Royal dress size 14 which I’m willing to sell. I did add straps which can easily be removed and some small alterations in the lenght and waist but they can be reversed if needed. I wore the dress it in my wedding in July 2010 and have had it professionally dry cleaned since then. If interested let me know and I can give more details.

@tallyp8:

I privately emailed you but wasn’t sure if it went through… How much are you looking to sell it for? Also, does the dress run true to size or did you find it ran small/big? Is the combination white/pewter and fabric silk? I liked the non-pewter combo on the actual site but it sounds like the only way to have silk is to get pewter color beading…

Hopefully you received my private message so we can discuss if you still have the dress! Belated Congrats on your wedding, btw!
