No, the church is on Long Island but the venue is in Queens. (I know, it's quite a long haul.) I want something simple, creative but yet inexpensive to tide over my guests. Sounds impossible?

My ceremony is a couple hrs before the reception and I wanted to have a light church reception to "tide" guests over. I was thinking of hiring Ben and Jerry's to cater an ice cream reception since it will be in Aug but it's a little pricey. Anyone have any creative, inexpensive church reception ideas?
