We are getting married in the Bahamas in June. We are expecting anyone between 50 and 80 people. We are doing group activities at the hotel outside by the ocean the day before the wedding. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions? Thanks!

how about a snorkeling excursion if they all swim, you could also have a historic tour perhaps of a local pottery shop, jewelry shop or distillery. i would probably try to immerse everyone in the culture so that they could have an experience there versus a wedding.

Snorkling? Beach volleyball?

I’d stay try and stay indoors as much as possible the day before – it avoids tan lines, sunburns and sunstrokes. But if you must, I think beach volleyball is a great idea with Team Bride and Team Groom
Maybe you could turn that into a theme, like a Beach Olympics kinda thing? Or a fun treasure hunt with clues that they can only find if they finish doing certain activities like snorkeling or sailing?
Try a survivor-type game with various fun “prizes” for the challenges which you could tie into your wedding theme somehow?
Or maybe you could see if the hotel does a beach side BBQ to keep things low key before the wedding ?

My boyfriend and his roommate want to plan a deep sea fishing excursion for all the guys. My DW is in Oahu, Hawaii. I figure the girls can go shopping or do manicures…girly stuff!

When we were in the Bahamas we loved swimming with the dolphins, you can plan a group trip.
I love the Olympics/Survivor games ideas too.
Also, you might consider a gaming option, there are some great casinos there if your guests are into that….
At our destination wedding the guys played golf the day of (we had a late afternoon ceremony) I went to work out, then spent the day in the spa with glorious treatments, with some of the women… everyone else enjoyed the beach or the pool.

Horseshoes? Sand castle contest?
Picnic at the beach. Pack pre-made lunches for everyone. Have blankets or beach towels available and everyone has a picnic lunch.
Also, just having some lounge chairs would be nice. Some people might just want to relax and lay out.

Cornhole is a fun game if you can find cornhole boards and beanbags there. 🙂 O just hang out by the pool or maybe rent kayaks if available.
