I fell in love with a china pattern online, Lenox Pearl Beads, and of course it’s not in stock anywhere for me to see it in person. I was about to take the leap and register for it anyway, but the consultant at Bed Bath & Beyond showed me a pattern that she believed was the same color based on Lenox’s description, and it’s definitely not what I thought it was! The similar pattern she showed me was Lenox Peal Innocence which had an off-white background with white dots and swirls whereas Pearl Beads appears to be more of a silvery background with white dots. The official description describes it as “pearlescent”. I’d definitely like a little extra color in my china than off-white, but I love the dotted pattern of Pearl Beads.
Does anyone own Lenox Pearl Beads China (or seen it in person) who can give me a realistic description of the color?

I don’t have it but I’ve seen it in person. It’s definitely more taupe-y than gray/silver it looks in the pictures.
Have you considered ordering a piece to look at it?

@li612: What store did you see it in? I’m in Baltimore, so a trip down to NoVa isn’t too bad for me.

macy’s at tyson’s. it was a nightmare (45 min to park, 30 to get out of the garage), so i dont think i would recommend going there. or at least go on a weekday.
now i’m questioning if this is the exact one they had, though. maybe call and ask

Thanks for the info! Macy’s at Tysons did indeed have it (as did the Macy’s in Chicago when I visited this past weekend — they carry everything!).
For the benefit of anyone else searching on this topic, the background was definitely a pretty true to life silver color, not as beige as Pearl Innocence and not as blue as some of the online pics. The pearlescent color fluctuates a bit with the light. The plate itself is white, not ivory like Pearl Innocence.
After much deliberation, Pearl Beads made it onto my registry 🙂
