Scotch scotch scotch, Scotchy scotch scotch.

I know that single malt scotch is the best kind. And Johnny Walker blue label is their most premium blend. Very expensive. Probably very tasty.

I would look for a Johnny Walker blue, if you have the funds.  Gold is great also.  Dewar’s Reserve is my third choice.

If you really want to wow him, go to a better liquor store and ask for a good single malt.

@KatNYC2011:

It will definitely taste better. Black is a blend of like 40 whiskies; blue is a blend of maybe 15? Maybe less? More integrity, richer, bolder.

I hate scotch, but my husband loves it! He generally drinks Johnny Walker Black, but for a special treat, Johnny Walker Blue! I know he has said that the Blue tastes  better than the Black. But it definitely is more pricey!

We don’t drink a lot of scotch, but we have bottles of Glenfiddich and Oban.

The Oban was about $100 and I prefer it, but I don’t drink much scotch so my opinion doesn’t mean much lol

A Glenfiddich 15 year is about $50, or you can bump up to 21 year for a little over $100 (we just have the 15 year).

Lately DH has been drinking a 16-year Lagavulin. I can’t even smell the stuff, but he loves it.

If he’s into bourbons, too, we both love the Hudson bourbons. They’re made in New York, too.

Just thought I’d add that this ice tray is also a fun gift for a scotch drinker.

Blue Label is good, but very pricey, my scotch-loving FI likes the Green Label a bit better (still not cheap)

His absolute favorite right now is Compass Box Peat Monster, I just got that for his bday (Feb 14)!
