I purchased this dress this weekend. It is so much prettier in person. I do love it but want a little more poof at the waist to make it more princess like. The bottom is plenty full. I have a nice jeweled belt that im going to wear with it. I’m only 5’2 so dont want it huge but just a little poof so the waist isnt so flat. The seamstress said she could separate the top layer of tulle to give more folds rather than being so flat. Anyone else have this issue with aline dresses?
fyi im slightly obsessed with the Kennth Pool Amour dress but way out of budget. I felt this dress when on was the closest thing in my search.

i tried to do this with my dress – the organza over lay was plenty pleated to add extra poof at the waist, but the underskirt was like yours – a straight A line. I did manage to get a little more poof at the sides/hips by having my seamstress let out the fabric a bit to give it more room and add some crinoline at the waist to poof it more, but the issue with getting mroe poof at the front/stomache area was that the fabric would fold up and buckle – just wansn’t enough room. You can talk to your seamstress about it and she what she says, but your dress is looking like there isn’t any room for it to poof up.
You can see in this pic how the underskirt is folding up. You can see how my sparkly belt no longer sits right at the waist and there’s a dip at the wait… this is from the fabric bunching… The same might happen with your dress.
This was the final product witht he sides of hte unerskirt let out a bit and some added crinoline at the hips:
And this was the original with just a crinoline which poofed out the bottom:
