@sparklerunner:  Usually flowers to hang in garlands like that are Marigolds.  The effect can be so pretty.

It really depends on the location and what is available — there are many different flowers that can be strung for this effect.

It’s kind of hard to tell.. I seem orchids hanging from strings on centerpieces but orchids are expensive flowers.

It can be DIYed, it may take some time to do though. It is extremely beautiful! if you can practice and pull it off, it will be GORGEOUS!

They look like orchids to me.

Save on Crafts actually has some silk orchid garlands that look very much like these.  I’m contemplating them… as I feel like they are are a less expensive way to get the same look and I won’t have to worry about them dying.
