Does anyone like this ring? I think i like the marquise cut, but i’m not sure because i tend to associate marquise rings with my mother’s generation. in fact she has one in gold that is higher set, and less antique.
This one is 1.4ct marquise cut e-ring but looks like a 2ct. I went to Lang antiqies with my best friend to try it on and it looks huge! What do you all think?

@beanbagchair: It’s stunning!! Usually, marquise isn’t my favorite cut, but this one is so pretty. Also, I think it looks classic, as opposed to “dated”. (hopefully that makes sense. LOL)

@beanbagchair: I don’t like marquis cut stones. Other than that it is beautiful!

@beanbagchair: This ring definitely doesn’t scream 80’s if that’s what you’re worried about. It’s absolutely gorgeous, timeless and elegant! The engraving is beautiful and the stone has amazing clarity. I have an heirloom white sapphire marquise ring from the 40’s that I absolutely love.

I don’t care for it at all, it’s one of my least desired cuts. Sorry, I don’t mean to ruffle any feathers but the marquise and the princess cuts both have negetive connations for me.

I love it! I also have a marquise, so I might be biased.
