My car is a Silver 2004 Toyota Solara...I named her Zippy...because I have a lead foot and she has a V-6. I got 2 speeding tickets with her. 
Lol. I'm about to get something new and I'm kind of sad to see her go. :(
ETA: My Mom's Suburban is called BATTY. Why? Mom says "Because it's a Big Ass Truck...BAT...Batty." Lol.
I drive a gray 2002 Beetle, and her name is Betty. Everyone knows about her name, and friends will ask "So how's Betty doing?" all the time! I picked it because it has a ring to it - Betty the Beetle - and because I tend towards more old-fashioned names often (I don't know any Betty's my age)
@NowDontLetsBeSilly: Hehe, when I was growing up, our old station wagon's name was Bessy, and then the Chevette that followed was Bessette :) B names are just very fitting for cars for some reason!
I do! My car's name is Binks. It has to do with the letters on my license plate, plus it just sounds cute (she's cute). :)
FI's van is named Barney (it used to be his Oma's and she named it but rarely drove it). So, Binky and Barney hang out together in the driveway! Haha.
right now my cars name is P.O.S.! i cant wait to get rid of it.
I have a Toyota Matrix and I named her Matilda. Before that, I had a Mercury Tracer I named Trixie and a Volkswagen Jetta named Greta. I name everything though. My last laptop was named Noah (like from the Notebook because it was a notebook PC) and my current laptop is named Harry Potter because it's an HP.
@BrianneG: I named my last HP laptop Harry Potter also! I got a new one, and it's name is Herbert Pierce.
I name everything also. I named my bf's BMW Bartholomew because it contains the letters b, m, and w. I named an owl necklace Owl-fred. My old fish was Gilbert Milton Jefferson III (there were no I and II). And my teddy bear is Harold Monroe. I don't know why cars don't get last names, it seems everything else does.
My 1st car was a small honda civic which I called big red now I got a bigger car so I name her little silver..LOL
I call my tiny light blue Toyota Yaris "Linus", and the name fits him perfectly!
Haha, my little bro and I had a near-fight when I got a car that was to be his for a while (he was in an accident with mine, but not his fault), so I named it while I had it.
When he finally got it, he wanted to rename it. We agreed to disagree, so we each refer to it with different names and the whole family knows what car we're talking about. LOL.

My very first car was a 1998 Hyundai Accent (white) and I named her Shelby because she kind of looked like an egg ... egg shell ... Shelby ...
I now have a 2006 Chevy Aveno (bright blue) named Tobey. Love him!
I also convinced my fiance to name his silver Equinox Geno after Evegeni "Geno" Malkin who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins. lol
YES! I call it Fix or Repair Daily, and that seems to be what it is doing to me lately :( Last week the gas gauge quit, LOL, oh well, DHs issue now.
My friend in college named her car Binky. We all called it Binky. In fact, when we were trying to decide which car to take I would say, 'do you want to take my car or Binky?'
I have a chevy malibu named Barbie. I had a person ask me once if I knew I had Malibu Barbie har har har. I looked at them and said, "Yes. That was intentional."
Before I had a Taurus named Elaine, a Maxima named Mossimo, and a Kia named k-k-k-kia.
My VW Jetta is named "Squishy." It has squishy leather seats that made me think of Finding Nemo when I test drove it ("I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy!").
My old car, a Saturn SL2, was named "Little Car" and I named FI's black Mazda RX-8 "Batmobile."
Yes! My current car is Miss Sapphire for now--she's still fairly new. My old car was Miss Pearl, the Holy Roller--long conglomeration of a bunch of college jokes.
Had a black mustang named Betty :) She was great! I miss her, but DH went wild in her, she was like drugs to him. Now I only let him drive a 4 cylinder.
Yep! I did this for all my cars and my parents cars as well. My current car (an orange Pontiac G5) is Snooki!
I have a 2003 Saturn Ion. It is bright blue, and the doors are made of plastic. So, I always joked about my car being made out of Tupperware and being shaped like a bubble, Hence, my car is the Tupperbubble. Plus it made me think of a funny rhyme I once saw on a cartoon about Tupperware "Winter, Summer, Spring, or Autumn...press the bubble on the bottom!" Oh my, I need sleep....
My truck is named Betty. And then my friend gave me a Justin Beiber sticker for losing a game at her birthday party (whomp whomp, I got the loser prize, lol!) which I stuck to my visor, so she's now the Betty Beibs Mobile :)
My first car was a Chevy Cavalier and I named her Esther. My second car was a Lincoln LS and I named her Lucy. And my car now is a blue Mazda CX-7 and I call her Eleanor Rigby.
When I was in high school I drove a van that everyone called "The Beast of the East" haha! No one ever just said "the van" it was just "The Beast of the East"
Yes! My current car is named Jasper, but my first car was name Big Bertha (it was a big blue car)
I had a white eclispe spyder ...I called her Whiskers....then I crashed her into a retaining wall....so long Whiskers :(
My car was Frank the Tank. I had a 93 mercury that I drove my senior year of high school up until last winter, when he passed away in his sleep. Poor Frank. He really was a tank. That car took a beating. I drove the V8 right outa the engine. lol I miss him.
I drive my SO's old car. When we first started dating it's what he was driving so we have a lot of fond memories of it. We had our first kiss inside of it actually. It's name is Clarence. When I got the car, I couldn't see naming it anything else so I kept it.
I do, and so does FI!
His first car was Tasha. Mine was the "go-cart".
We both have new cars since then. His is Ron, mine is Oliver :)
ETA: FI thinks that every car already has a name, and that we just have to figure it out. It took a couple of weeks for FI to find out Ron's name. He thought it was a girl, but it wasn't :)
My 2002 VW Jetta's name is Dragonfly. It was the first word that came into my head when I saw her, she was so sleek and pretty. I even found an etched dragonfly shell pendant to hang from the rearview mirror.
Yes!! I have named all of my cars, since I was 17 and had my very first!! They've been Merdock, Shiloh, Garnet and Merlot. This one is a 2005 Ford Taurus that I call "The F*&%ing Taurus"...because I wanted a Mustang. I always wanted one, and my late husband even woke me up early one Saturday morning so we could go to the dealership to look at one!! After 2 days of 'discussions', I didn't get my Mustang, I got my F*&%ing Taurus instead. Can you tell I was bitter? LOL The funny thing is, everyone (including my current FI) still refers to it as such, never just 'Merry's Car'.
I LOVE that other people do this! I always named my cars (and computers/laptops) and my friends always gave me a hard time about it! I just got my car and havn't found a fitting name yet, but my last one was a grand-am named "Sue" - from Johnny Cash's "boy named Sue" - that car had balls, but with a chicks touch :)
Could never come up with a name for my car (a Dodge SX 2.0) except for Sexy, but FI drives a Ford Taurus, and pretty much since our first date, I've called her Tori. It drove FI crazy at first, but now he calls her Tori too!
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion named Thalia. I named her that because she is beautiful and I love her and wanted a refined and beautiful name for her.
i drive a scion... his name is sidney scion... mainly after the fact that i love sidney crosby. hahaha

I just got a new car and trying to come up with a name. Who else names their cars? What name? What kind of car? Why did you choose that name?
