I’m in the market for a laptop. It would be secondary to both my home Mac and my work PC, but I would like to have something that I could use when traveling, in meetings for presentations, or when I don’t feel like sitting in one place at a computer all day. I’ve done research on the Chromebook and understand that it isn’t a PC – I’m OK with that, as I mostly use Google Drive and Gmail for all my personal stuff anyway. What I’m concerned about is accessing my work computer. I remote desktop in at home, and am wondering if I will be able to do the same thing with ease on a Chromebook. I know Google has an RDC app that has fairly good reviews, and if it actually works then I have no problem (because I can use Word, Powerpoint, and any other program I need by accessing from my work PC on the Chromebook). Anyway, I guess I’m just looking for some general feedback/reviews – the Chromebook is the right price compared to other laptops!
