I’m looking to find another woman for friendship and motivation while we try to reach our fitness goals! I’m hoping to exchange emails once a day or every other day talking about our struggles and triumphs.
About me: I’m soon to be 23, enjoy everything from going to the zoo and art galleries to having a night out on the town. I’ve been with my FI for going on 3 years now and just got engaged in November. No kids and don’t want any for a while. Just moved to Wichita, Kansas and still looking for full time employment though I’ve had 5 interviews in the month that I’ve been here!
About my goals: I’m using my upcoming engagement party in June as motivation to try and finally get in shape. I don’t have a number I’m trying to hit since I avoid the scale like the plague, but I used to have a super tiny waist a few years ago and would love to have it back again. I’ve always had hips and an ass so I know I won’t get rid of it (don’t want to!) I just want to tone up and have my clothes fit better. If I had to guess, I would want to lose about 30-40 lbs. altogether. I’m not much of a gym person though I do have a membership with Planet Fitness. The best way for me to get a workout is through some sort of dance or sport or class. Workout videos at home are a lot of fun. I also love carbs and sugar way too much and I would like motivation choosing healthier options. I unfortunately grew up with some really bad eating habits and don’t even know how to start eating right.
I am NOT about thinspo or hating my own body and I want to reach my goals while learning to love myself at whatever size as long as I’m healthy and active. I would rather weigh 200 lbs and be active and eating right than 100 lbs by way of an eating disorder. Of course I would like to see a physical change, but health and beauty are not the same thing. I do majorly struggle sometimes with insecurity about my body (what woman doesn’t?) but the fat acceptance movement has been a wonderful thing.
So if you want to begin this journey with me please shoot me a message telling me a bit about yourself and your goals! Maybe you want to be fairly independent and just check in with me about your progress. Maybe you need someone to text to to get your butt to zumba class haha. Let’s make this work!

@chickspartan: Oh, oh, pick me! I’m getting married in 4.5 weeks and going to St. Lucia in April. I need to trim down!
A little about me: I’m 27 and have been with my FI for a little over 4 years. I’m trying to lose the 25 pounds I put on in grad school in 2010. I love to workout, but I’m slightly asthmatic. I, like you, grew up with really bad eating habits. I was a latch key kid, and my older brother fed me cheetos and pop growing up. Nice, huh? I love fruit smoothies, steak, chicken, and potatoes. I’m trying to stick with WW and their 2 week jump start, which I’m starting tomorrow. I would totally be up for texting. I need to be held accountable!

I also am on the “i need to tone up” train. I am tiny but being short even 5lbs changes things. I actually went on tried on my dress two nights ago and we barely got it zipped up. i also LOVE carbs and have very little self control with food. I am most concerned with my dress fitting AND very importantly what I’m going to look like in a bathing suit for our honeymoon. I have a membership to the gym but i seem to find excuses to not go….I would love to exchange emails and words of encouragement 🙂

I recommand doing atleast some weight lifting. Even if you lose some weight/fat you want to tone up and have some muscles. No need to get rid of ass just squat your way into having a great ASS ! 🙂

@MrsSweetT: I pick you! Haha lets try to figure out this healthy eating thing and make some changes!
@mindy_pindy: Excuses are unfortunately my downfall. I was supposed to go to zumba today and ended up watching Netflix instead. )=
@spaula89: Duly noted! When I do make it to the gym I’ll make a note to do some lifting.

@chickspartan: I would love to be involved with this! I am 24, a big fan of live theater, going out in the big city, and staying at home in PJs to watch a movie! My SO and I have been together for 9 years and 2 months (tomorrow!), and we plan to get married in 2015. Like you, we don’t have any kids right now, and are not planning to have any for a while. I am currently in my last semester of law school (I graduate in June), and have a 10-month internship lined up for August.
About my goals:
SO is planning to propose this year, and I have been very picture-shy since gaining a lot of weight. I never used to be someone obsessed with the scale, but definitely someone who wanted to feel comfortable in her body. I no longer feel comfortable in my body.
What many experience as the “Freshman 15” I’ve experienced as a “Freshman 45”. Unintentionally, I gained 45 pounds while completing my undergraduate and law school agree. At this point, I would like to lose roughly 30-40lbs. I’d also like to do some toning – I have some tummy flab and arm flab I would like to get rid of. There is a rumour on the grapevine my SO might propose as early as July (soon after I graduate) and I would really LOVE to be down to a comfortable size at that point. SO’s sister is getting married in June, and I would like to look nice for the pictures…in other words, June is a serious target month for me.
I believe in being healthy, and have never been someone who wanted to be stick-thin. I have a decent sized chest and butt, and I would like to keep them both! I am proud of my curves, but have gotten to the point where I am very out of shape. Sometimes a few sets of stairs has me panting. I have always loved food, and have a serious sweeth tooth that accompanies the end of every meal. My big appetite used to be fine when I played soccer and danced in high school, but has since overtaken me as I progressed through school.
I must confess – I hate exercise with a passion, especially running. Sometimes I love the elliptical, and sometimes I hate it. My favourite form of exercise is dance, but I feel uncomfortable and clumsy in a group classroom. I have been trying to do videos at home (e.g. dance workout for dummies) but would love to have a pen-pal motivator – someone to encourage me to get off my butt, and go for a walk or actually do the dance workout. It is always nice to have a bit of encouragement, and to get a virtual high-five from someone who understands the struggle.

@chickspartan: ME! I was doing pretty well last year and lost about 14 lbs then totally gave up during the holidays and for some reason I haven’t been able to get back into a routine…let alone start!
I am 23 (24 in July). I am not a gym person, but I have dance once a week and would like to start jogging again in order to do a 10k this year! 🙂 and I also would like to actually stick with 30 day shred for a while and complete it!

I would also love to do this to if someone else needs one , I think it would be easier trading stories to keep up with it and have support.
I am 21 getting married in september and have my bestfriends wedding (I am a bridesmaid) in may, I have alot of weight to lose and definitely need some motivation.

@chickspartan: I found a friend on weddingbee. We started talking on here, then went to email, and now we talk just about every day on facebook. Both of us got engaged within 3 weeks from each other and we have shared our ups and downs with each other. I invited her to my wedding that is in October and we plan on meeting halfway at some point to hang out.
This December, we both decided to tone up and whatnot so we found and agreed on a couple workouts (with the help of Pinterest and being able to send them back and forth to each other). we have been doing them for two weeks now and are confiding in each other every day about them. We also started (I had an account already but had slacked on using it for the past 6ish+ months) charting/keeping track of our food intake and exercise on myfitnesspal.com (my name on there is NicoleLyn1218 as well). I have a HUGE sweet tooth but have since started to eat more fruits instead of (as much) chocolate and candies. Keeping track of what I eat really makes me think twice about grabbing that piece of candy or cookie. Having that in the back of my mind and having her to keep me accountable has really helped a lot. I didn’t want to work out one of the days we had decided on and told myself “I HAVE to, (insert name here) is counting on me!” I felt better after I did the workout, it was just getting myself to do it.
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
