Totally agree with you! Ann has the look, but is not very personable or graceful, and her walk definitely needs work! Chelsea's been my favorite from the beginning (and I really liked Kayla too!) so I hope she wins.
P.S., when the hell does the season finale air? I had no idea that the new seasons reruns were even on and now I HAVE to watch the season finale but am struggling to find out which channel and when it is on tv.
@SweetRose2011: The finale will be this Wednesday night on the CW. 8 p.m./7 p.m. central, I believe. Not positive on the time, though, because I usually just DVR it.
Surprised they chose Ann too, but it's probably just b/c her pics are awesome which is good for what Italian Vogue wants. She will lose though, b/c the final is always a runway challenge, and she can't walk to save her life. Chelsea is a good winner though.
I liked Kayla and Jane a lot. Jane had such a pretty mouth -- a lot like that actress (drawing a blank... in Mona Lisa Smile and 10 Things and the Bourne trilogy)
@msnelson13: julia styles? and I thought that annamarie, who got kicked off in the very begining episodes looked a lot like scarlett johanson...maybe?
Ann is my favorite! She works hard is gorgeous and takes amazing photos. She reminds me of classic hollywood. I think she could easily learn to relax and have a great personality.
I can't believe Ann is still on really. Yes she is tall and 'exotic' but her walk looks like a Frankenstein walk! How will that look on runways?
I want Chelsea to win for sure, though I think I would have liked to see Kayla in the finale too.
@MissAsB: I'm surprised myself. Her beauty is unique but I certainly do not think her walk will get her very far. Chelsea on the other hand has an amazing walk though I think her beauty is more common then Ann's.
I am a big fan of Chelsea, so I hope she gets it! Ann takes great photos, yes, but she is terrible at "in person" or "commercial" things and her walk is awful! Although Ann would be great at high fashion because of her unique look, I still think Chelsea needs to win! I also loved Kayla, so I was sad to see her go...she had a lot of spunk and I loved her fire red hair!
I agree that Jane looks like Julia Styles! I thought Rhianna looked a lot like Maggie Gyllenhall...their mannerisms are similar too!
ANTM is my guilty pleasure. Every time a new season starts, I *have* to watch it, even if the show, the usual drama in the house, Tyra's antics, Nigel's attitude, etc, infuriate me so much sometimes. In all the cycles they've had, there's only been one time that my favorite actually won (Nicole from the shorties cycle).
This cycle I was excited from the start because of the Vogue Italia/high fashion focus, since the show hasn't been like this for quite a while. My favorite already got eliminated, but I'm ok with the final two.
I already know who wins, kinda by accident. There's a forum that I read where spoilers get posted, but this season the spoilers have been pretty tight, and the only big spoiler the forum had since the beginning was the identity of the final 7. But in that forum, every week people post the pictures from the next week, since those are released early.
And well, for the finale of this season, one of the photos released (the Covergirl ad photo) had a little caption on the bottom congratulating the winner. I missed the spoiler warning before I clicked through to see the picture, because they never outright SAY who's the winner beforehand so I wasn't expecting to see that. But ah well, I gues now I know who wins, if the spoiler is true and not some random error or intentional misleading.
I won't post the link to the photo or say which one the spoiler indicates is the winner in case people here don't want to get spoiled. After all, there's only one more day until the finale airs =) But if anyone wants to get spoiled, I guess they can just PM me or something and I'll send them the link.
(BTW, my favorite this cycle was Jane. She was so sweet. Second favorites are Ann and Kayla -- loved the fire-red hair!)

That was a great finale. The commercial they did looked and sounded really good. The runway show was fun to watch, and Ann's giant eyes were funny. She looked so scared.
Since the finale aired, I'm gonna go ahead and post the picture that was released a couple weeks ago. Notice the congratulatory caption on the bottom left, lol.
Congrats to Ann, even though she wasn't my pick to win. She was definitely gorgeous and took fabulous pictures. She clearly had what the Italian market was looking for.
I have to say, though, I was a little bit annoyed with the way they edited the finale. They kind of made Chelsey look like a bitch, and played Ann up as this inspiring anti-bullying story. I mean, I get that it's a big issue right now, and definitely an important topic, but the way they did it kind of ruined the finale for me. Anyone else feel this way?

I wasn't sure who I wanted to win quite honestly because, as I stated before, they both had good and bad qualities (i.e. chelsea's walk was a lot better than ann's) However, I do think that Ann's beauty was more Amazon woman whereas Chels was definately more American girl (blonde hair, etc)

I wanted Jane or Kayla to win. But that said, I thought Ann's pictures and story were beautiful. I never liked Chelsey. She just seemed a bit money grubbing to me and too cutthroat. I am happy with an Ann win.
I love Ann so much. I feel she just "is" right for the job. She worked hard and I love her story.
I love Ann as well. She was my favorite from the beginning. She's an underdog and I realte to her nerdy awkwardness. (ANTM is my guilty pleasure as well).

I used to watch this show all the time. I liked it for a while, but then it got too much. It seemed like it was always about the drama, and the prizes were ok, but this cycle they have amazing prizes (Vogue Italiana spread, a spread online, and a signed contract with img, one of the top modeling agencies that have signed Gemma Ward, etc). Also, I feel like in the past they were extremely focused on nudity, bikini shots, etc. This season is all about trying to get the girls ready for high fashion so they are trying to get them as close to reality modeling as possible.
Anyways, are you surprised as to who the top two are? I had thought time and time again that Ann was going to get kicked off because her walk is god-awful and she's so freaking shy. I love her beauty but I feel as though she really needed to step up her personality for the top two. Cheslie, however really knew what needed to be done and did it. She knew so much about all the modelling agencies and the designers.
What are your thoughts?
