Does having a Rose Gold vs. White Gold setting change the look of the stone. In other words would Rose or Yellow Gold bring out more of the warmer colors in a Forever Brilliant Moissanite??? I love love love Rose Gold but I don’t want it to make the moissanite look warm or yellow.

I’m not sure but for diamonds, I think yellow and rose gold do the opposite – makes it look whiter.

k8marx: On the contrary, the rose gold will probably make it whiter. Moissanite tends to have flashes of green and rose gold would contrast that, just like yellow gold would probably counteract the warmth of the stone also giving it a whiter appearance. I don’t think you could go wrong with either metal! I have moissanite studs set in platinum and I don’t notice any color to them at all so I’m sure whichever metal you pick will make your stone look fantastic.
Depending what cut you’re searching for/thinking about, you may want to consider Amora Moissanite which is said to be whiter than the Forever Brilliant moissanite.

I am a yellow gold lover and I was told that Yellow Gold actually makes Moissanite look more white, or less warm.
Thats what I’m hoping for anyways because I’m set on a Moissy and yellow gold!!

Ah that is great news! Thank you ladies so much! I love rose and yellow gold! Glad to know it will actually make it look more white

I’ve heard it both ways–> That white metal makes the stone looked whiter (or at least white metal prongs do) and that non-white metals make the stone look whiter. Maybe do white metal prongs? I think it might just come down to which look you prefer?
