We are literally not having a single decoration in my church!  Not an aisle runner, or pew decorations or a flower arrangement!

If you are happy with the simplicity of the chapel–I don’t think you need to do a thing to it!  Do you have a photo of the interior of your chapel?

I’m getting married in an already plain Catholic church but I will not be spending money to decorate (not only for cost reasons) but mostly b/c I think the focus in my wedding should be on the sacrament of the two of us being married. 🙂  plus my church will have a few decorations as is…

If you feel the need to do SOMETHING but don’t want to spend a lot–why not just have rose petals down the aisle?  Are you having a flower girl anyways?

We are doing pew ends, but only 6 or 8 total. Our church requires two large alter arrangements to be donated after the service, so we don’t have a choice there. And we aren’t allowed to put anything in the aisle which is fine with me, less to trip on..

We’re not doing anything in church either. It’s not in our budget and they’d go to waste because there’s really nowhere to use them for our reception.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tripped on a runner as a bridesmaid and our church doesn’t allow us (or a flower girl) to drop rose petals because then someone has to clean them up.

I might put something small on the 1st three rows near the alter so that stupid people don’t sit in the rows designated for the bridal party and family, but that’s about it.

We’re not decorating!  Our church has amazing stained glass and beautiful woodwork and I dont want to detract.  The only decorations will be tall candleabras down the aisle and flowers on the alter.  That’s all we need.

wow, I really like your church!  It’s very bright!

Here’s a picture of my church last year right before the vigil–the decorations are kept up all throughout the Easter season which is when I’m getting married next year!  Btw, it’s the student parish for a college campus (so it’s pretty large). My Fiance’s dad jokes it looks like a warehouse (I can tell he’s not a fan..lol)

Honestly I never notice flowers in the church at any weddings i’ve been to before and centerpieces as well.  We are skipping the church too because its so beautiful it doesnt need anything else.

I was lucky enough to share 2 altar arrangements with the bride who was married the morning before me.  It was nice to split the cost and we both were fine with just white flowers so it was easy.  I don’t remember them too much but I know they were lovely!

We’re just doing an isle runner and pew bows from Save on Crafts.  I think flowers for the ceremony are such a waste, plus, our church won’t allow us to take the flowers with us to re-use at the hall.
