Your photographer will do whatever they have to do to get good pictures. That includes standing on a stool if necessary.

If he wants he can bring a stool. I like shots from above but if photos are outdoors there are many ways for a photographer to climb up on things (park bench, tree stump etc). Have you met your photographer in person?

One of my BMs and her husband are pro photographers, so they were taking photos all throughout the rehearsal dinner and wedding just because that’s what they do.  They’re also both about nine inches shorter than my husband.  They still managed to get some great pictures of him, though!

@vermontia: That will depend a bit on the context that they are taken in.  Obviously you can’t shoot an entire wedding on a stool or wearing stilts, but not all of the photos will be super close up where a height difference could even be obvious.  I’m pretty short and I take photos of the guys getting ready… I might stand on something for close up shots, but for the most part once you have back away a few feet from your subject it doesn’t matter that much.
