It definitely looks better than last time, and I can see where you're coming from, but just leave it! It looks great and actually flatters your figure more IMO. I'm afraid if it gets any bigger it might take away from the gorgeous detailing on the dress, which I LOVE!
Don't you dare take home a dress that isn't 100% perfect...make them fix it the way that you want it to be, and so that its comfortable for you to wear all day...and where it laces up is really really narrow, and I think that this is a really nice feature of the dress...it should be more visible...not just a 1/2" gap...you can barely see it from the sash area down... =/
@Dolldancer8: Thanks for the support! After this photo was taken, they pulled it even tighter, and it still was loose on me/slipped down...
I went back for my third set of alterations, and it just wasn't working for me... When I lifted my arms or leaned backwards, my entire boob (and i mean the ENTIRE boob) was visible because it kept working itself down so low... (and my cups were sewn in upside down... how do you get that wrong?) I finally told her, in no uncertain terms, exactly what I wanted... She is taking about 1-1.5" out of each side all the way down to where the boning in the bodice stops (the end of the corset area, approximately). This should allow the dress to be supported for a longer area and therefore keep the whole dress "up" higher (like it is when I first put it on everytime), if that makes sense?
I'm SUPER nervous about it, but I couldn't have the dress slip down to the point where you could see the "important" part of the boob (I'd have needed breast petals!)... The seamstress was very adamant that it was a bad idea and not necessary, but I didn't see an option...? Even the shop owner came over and said it was a "perfect" fit, that there was "nothing else they could do for me." I said yes there is! You can take it up more!
So that was on October 15, and she said it wasn't going to be ready unti November 19!!! So I think I'm going to have pulled out all my hair and chewed off all my nails by that point!!! lol...
@Dutchie: I went ahead and answered the original PM you sent me... :)
Will you post pictures of the front after they alter it again??? I wanna see the whole package!!! & you are very welcome!!! Good Luck!!!

Here's the original post in case you didn't get the chance to read it! :)
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/does-my-corset-back-dress-look-too-big-to-you-pics
So she altered it some at the top, pulling the corset wider, but only until the ribbon sash starts (the inner ribbon--i don't know if you can tell that there's two ribbons? the outer ribbon is looser/hanging down lower....) We also used the wider corset ribbon this time instead of the thinner string one, which helped the look to read more "corset" from a distance... (As an aside, for any bee that voted to put a zipper in the dress on my first post--my seamstress said it was "impossible," that the fabric was too thick...?)
What do y'all think? I'm still worried becasue over the course of wearing it around the shop for an hour, it slipped down about an inch or so (after the pic was taken)... I'm trying to convince my seamstress that I have a long straight torso and that my "natural waist" is actually not going to hold up the gown--that it needs to be tight until my hips where it starts to flare out... She's convinced the back of the dress will "ripple" (or "pull up," as she says) if we make it tighter lower, but I'm pretty sure there is enough boning in the dress? I mean, that would only make sense, and also if there weren't enough boning, we could add extra, right?
I'm just frustrated... :-/ What do you you guys think? When I expressed worry about it, she just tightened the top of the corset. It ended up being so tight I nearly couldn't breathe at the top, but I think that only contributed to the problem of it working itself downward as I moved around, and it still felt "unsecure"... (There's also two more rungs of corset to keep lacing in the new pic, but she quit lacing me up because it was closed already.)
Here's Picture 1 from the FIRST fitting (last time)...
And here's Picture 2 from this most recent fitting...
It looks better than last time, I have to admit... Am I being crazy about wanting her to keep going with this? I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall with trying to explain myself to her... I even brought designer pics of this dress off the designer's website to show the corset, and she still said that "on me" it will pull up... ??? oh, and make my butt flat, too... ;)
