Your dress is so lovely, and you have a great figure but it is hard to see that past the sash.

I really like the sash. The dress is very simple and shows your figure beautifully, I think the sash adds to it.

I am a fan of huge bows/sashs, but for some reason I am just not feeeling this particular sash on you...

I think its the shape of the bow that is bothering me, it appears to be flat on top & full on the bottom, vs. a more round bow.

I would cotinue to look until you find a bow that you really love.

I don't know, it is wide, but I really like it in those pictures.

Oh just saw your post, maybe if you move the material around to make it more round vs. smooshed looking, it might be a look you prefer.

@AnnieAAA:  the whole thing is actually flat so there is no body, it sits flush agains my body

I actually like the size of the sash - i dont think it takes away from the dress or your figure at all. I say keep it!

i like the sash! i think maybe your eye is being drawn to all the dark contrast . i love a lil sparkle so i think if you added a brooch in the middle it will take away from all the black. but i would def keep the sash!

I think it's a bit thick but even if you decide to keep it, it looks nice. I just wanted to add that you look AMAZING in your dress! I absolutely love it!

I'm sorry! I voted that it was a bit big, but then saw the 2nd picture you posted and from a different angle, it looks perfect. Take a vote of the "get another one". Embarassed

Maybe it's the color that's throwing me off, but in both pictures, the first place my eyes went was the sash, and not you.  (When I got past that though, you look incredible in the dress!)

I think it is perfect! Anything smaller would be too small. It is modern and elegand and just what the dress needed to make it even more beautiful!

@Missido:  Ditto, I love the sash in the second pic but had already voted that it was too much.  IMO, the black/white contrast is very elegant.

    Stunning dress btw!

I think you have an awesome body and a smaller sash would show it off better. Take your dress to another bridal store and try on some sashes or sparkly belts.

I loooove this dress and it looks so amazing on you. I do like the sash but feel like a thinner sparkly sash would work better; something more simplistic that lets you and the dress stand out.

Nooo I love it...it's different then the typical waist-belt sash with rhinestones (which I love by the way) and it's really unique! I think it looks awesome with your dress and your figure is killlller

So... it seems pretty up in the air... I love the styling of this sash but i do think i wish it was smaller so i called the shop i purchased it at and asked if it was possible to be made in a slightly smaller width ribbon... now i am just waiting for a callback... cross your fingers ladies

@Pappy8:  Glad you'll be able to exchange it. Either way, the dress is soooo beautiful and I love the sash with it. But go with whatever size makes you feel good.

I think it's the color more than the sash.  If it was a lighter color it might not be as distracting.  If you're going to stick with black, I'd go with something without the flower/bow thing.

I agree that it is just too tall (big) and eats up you whole middle section leaving you without a tiny waist that I am sure you have. Something smaller/thinner would really accentuate your curves rather than taking away from them.

I like the sash but since it's black it is the first thing my eye goes to. I'm thinking that's not what you want. Maybe a different color?

Maybe try a diamanté belt? It'd show off your gorgeous figure all the more. Or, you could go for a bow that trails down your side, with a diamanté brooch in the middle. That would look gorgeous on you :)

Its not the size that seems swallowing I think its that it is black. I think you look great with your dress as is. However, I have never been a big fan of a black sash with a wedding dress (IMO). I would love to see your dress with a different color sash. BUT, If you like the black then go for it! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!!!!

I ADORE your dress! It looks positively stunning on you...however, I do think the sash should be less thick. It does detract from the entire picture of you and the dress...my eyes went right to the sash, rather than your face or the rest of the dress. Good luck!

You look beautiful, but it is kind of huge!  Glad to hear you can exchange it (if you want to)!
