The King of Prussia store was SUPER friendly to me.  It may be the location, the people who work there, or something…

They had a phone issue one day, so I called the corporate store, and they gave me an email that worked perfectly.  If you are having trouble making an appointment, try emailing them.

The dresses aren’t worth it. Dessy and many other designers offer the exact same dresses, in more colors, and for less money.

I agree with JrzyGrl, I honestly don’t think their bridesmaid dresses are worth the hassle.

@kariface:  I purchased my MOH dress for my sister’s wedding at RK and had a great experience. Its not as “fancy” as lot of other bridal shops, but they have a HUGE selection and great prices. Good luck!

Definitely do RK, but not on  a weekend! That’s where I got my bridesmaid dresses from and so did my sister.

I love, love, love RK! I live in Philly but I got a bridesmaid dress for a friend’s wedding at RK. Great selection, prices and customer service! If you decide to go to the J Crew store in King of Prussia, ask specifically for Michelle because some of the other ladies there are really snooty.

My bridesmaids ended up getting their dresses at Jcrew. I agree the NYC salon is ridiculous. 2 of my BMs life in San Fran and Chicago and were able to walk in the day of. But for NYC, when I made the initial trip to decide if Jcrew was the place, I had to make reservations a month in advance for a WEEKNIGHT and even when I got there, I had to wait 20 min before someone would see me.

One of my BMs was able to convince them to squeeze her in last min on a Saturday on top of another appointment through a lot of begging so I do think there is a way to crack them, but unless you’re prepared to wait a month, maybe go to another location (where it’s not as competitive and crowded as NYC)?

The J. Crew Bridal Salon in NYC used to have gorgeous bridal party/special occasion dresses that were only available in that store. It was amazing and the best dress shopping experience of any of the bridal salons I have been to (as a bridesmaid going to see the bride try on). I was SO disappointed to hear that it was no longer there and is now part of a larger store- we have had similar problems recently trying to get an appointment for another friend of mine.
