both my mom and mil have short hair so we didn't have this issue, but she should wear it however she looks/feels best!
Totally optional. She should wear it however she prefers. And looks like herself. Nothing worse than her looking totally different on one day just because she feels she needs her hair a certain way.

My mom keeps thinking she needs an updo, but my sis and I don't really think it looks good like that (love you mom!)
Do you think its appropriate for the mother of the bride to wear her hair in a down or half up do?
