No, not at all! I've seen lots of floral/colorful/non-bridaly rehearsal dresses! Wear what you're comfortable and happy in!
Heck no! I doubt I'm wearing a "bridey" dress. I just want something cute.
I think you can wear whatever you want and everyone will know you're still the bride! Go with whatever feels right.
I hope not! I'm wearing a cute black cocktail dress to my rehearsal :)
You can wear whatever you want to the rehearsal and dinner following. Every rehearsal I have attended, the bride wore a tshirt and jeans.
I'm wearing red too! I'm Chinese, but I'm having a traditional American wedding, so I figured a red dress for the rehearsal would be a nice nod to my heritage.
I wore chocolate brown (one of my wedding colors) taffeta from j. crew. I think for some brides, the occasion to wear more than one white dress is great, but I also like the whole *saving the bridal look* for THE day.
Oh no you don't have to wear white. My SIL wore a bright blue dress which was the colors of the wedding. I'm wearing a dress that fads from white to grey to black. I almost bought an all black dress.
I'm wearing a white dress because I really want to, but it's not for everyone. I'm just milking it!
I love the idea of saving the white dress for the wedding and since I am having a very traditional wedding (white dress, all white bouquet, veil, etc.), I figured that the rehearsal dinner was the perfect time to wear something more colorful and vibrant. In my opinion, as long as you feel beautiful in what you are wearing, the color isn't going to matter, so wear whatever you love! You can't go wrong, you're the bride!
I'm wearing a hot pink cocktail dress! :) No white gowns for me! That's what the wedding day is for.
I wore bright red for my rehearsal dinner dress and it was fabulous! I say rock it!
I have a black and orange dress I'm planning on wearing. I saw a thread not too long ago of women posting their white rehearsal dresses, but I think it's completely unnessesary.
Definitely wear what you want to wear. You have your whole wedding day to be 'bridey'.
I am planning on wearing bright red too, if I can find one! That is my problem right now :) I also am having a black and white wedding, with red accents. I figure you can always wear your favorite color and mine is red! It is ALWAYS up to the bride :)
i'm wearing a black dress..the complete opposite! it's your wedding..wear what you want!
I feel like the white rehersal dress tradition probably just came out of brides getting totally into the white dress in any shape or form. I personally like white dresses but would never wear one, except maybe to something wedding-y. Wear what you want and what you will be comfortable in.

I never knew that most brides wear a white dress to the rehearsal dinner....I was/am set on wearing RED. My wedding colors are black and white so red would be totally fun! Is that inappropriate? Are people expecting me to wear white?
