(Closed) Does the whole wedding party have to color coordinate?

It is traditional for the “sponsors” to coordinate with the rest of the wedding party; however, in today’s world, more and more brides are allowing them to wear whatever they want.

I think people can wear whatever they want. The only problem you might have is if they clash / stick out in formal photos. e.g. mom wears black when everyone else is wearing white, lavender, and grey. Clearly people don’t want to be in this situation so they are asking to coordinate and that’s nice, but if you don’t want everyone to look all matchy you might suggest an accent color or lavender (if your bridesmaids are wearing dark purple).
