I am sooo nervious this isn’t very cohesive.. Please give me some honesty! Our colors are navy and light and dark pinks.
My flowers and probably bridesmaids flowers: (I can’t decide if I want something different than them.)
Or another option I really love with more greens..
My bridesmaids dresses:
Groom & groomsman: Navy tuxes with gray vest and pocket square, ivory shirt
Ties: I think the guys will all wear different ones..

It all looks great! Don’t worry about too matchy matchy. IMO matchy matchy isn’t always best, spice it up.

thehappiestbridetobe: I think it will be a beautiful wedding. The only thing I would change is the men’s ivory shirt. There really is no reason to wear anything other than a white shirt with a tuxedo.

I think its gorgeous! And for the boquets I like the touch of green, but either way is nice 🙂

julies1949: I was told by our suit guy that if my dress is ivory, the men should NOT wear a white shirt. It will make my dress look “dirty” so we have my FI & Groomsmen wearing ivory, as well as the dad’s.
thehappiestbridetobe: Looks great to me!!!

julies1949: i disagree. my dress is ivory (“oyster” technically) and the lady helping me strongly suggested they wear ivory shirts vs white because it’ll be really noticeable when standing next to me/in pictures

I think it looks great! I agree with @eecuadrado. Matchy matchy isn’t always the best. I think the bouquet with some greens will look lovely. Aso it’s a great idea to have the guys wear different ties. Maybe they don’t need to all be stripes though? In the end, it’s all about what makes you and your fiance happy. Happy planning!

weatherbug: Unfortunately, that is misinformation given out all the time. There is no way that a white shirt on the groom will make the bride’s dress look dirty. For one thing, until he takes off his jacket during the dancing, his shirt will never be next to your dress. The only thing that may look dingy is the shirt.

I think t looks great!
I agree with julies1949: that you may want to take a second look at the idea of an ivory shirt for the men. I do not agree that a white shirt will make your dress look dingy (although I’ve also heard that). A man should really wear a crisp white shirt with a tux.

I agree. My dress is ivory and we went in to actually look at the differences at the tux place and the ivory was very “yellow” toned. We chose to opt for the white shirts and then have FI wear an ivory vest, tie, pocket square, just so he would look different from the rest and still have both white and ivory to “try” to match to my dress.

Actually the tux and my dress are from the same bridal shop, so I was able to see them right next to eachother and I am very happy with them! One is not more yellow than the other. I did not like the way the white was so contrasted next to my dress.

eecuadrado: Totally agree! I don’t want to be too matchy either but i’m fearful people will be like wait how does that even go together…? Haha. Thanks! 🙂

I dont want this thread to turn into a debate about ivory or white 🙂 Thanks for all the replies ladies!
