I need a little advice. Here’s my wedding dress – VERY satin-y – high shine! (which may be starting to frighten me concerning my wedding pics – EEK!) I’m having trouble picking out bridesmaid dresses that flow with my dress.
I like this bridesmaid dress (not the right color – we will have a shade of purple) because its softer (lux chiffon) and not shiny in comparison to my dress so I figured they might compliment eachother….. Am I way off or do opposites attract?!

I like that they both have similar kinds of gathers but still look distictly different than each other.

I think they would look fine together!

I think (and hope) they look great together! My dress is silk with a lot of shine and my bridesmaids will be wearing Lux Chiffon dresses in a plum color.

I think they will compliment each other well!

Great choice – and this will be flattering on many body types so I think your B-maids will love it as well.

I never even thought of fabrics. My dress was lace and organza and the BMs were peau de soie silk. I think yours will really compliment because of the rouching.

Great minds think alike
My fear is that the bridesmaid dresses aren’t as formal…

I definitely want my bridesmaids to be comfortable! I was hoping this dress would help 🙂

Nope They blend well together they have similar folds. Love your dress!!!! It does have high shine.

I think they’ll look great! My dress was very similar to yours – shiny (silk taffeta), ruched bodice, sweetheart neckline, draped skirt and small hip embellishment. My bridesmaids wore a 1 shoulder chiffon dress with ruching on the bodice in champagne and I think they looked just fine together!
ps – don’t worry about your dress being too shiny in pictures. The photos of me in the salon have my dress sooooo shiny because it’s dark in there and we used flash, but it didn’t look shiny at all in my pro photos.

@TheHoneyWajr: You look gorgeous! Love the dress!
I’m so glad to hear that your pro photos didn’t have the crazy shine! I looked back at photos when I tried my dress on in the bridal shop and completely panicked about the shine….. but then emailed my photographer and he said it will be fine 🙂 Ahhh, sigh of relief!
