I think it’s okay, but the general rule is no white…I’m curious what others say!

I think it is fine.  Could you print out the picture and ask her?

Throw on a colorful chunky necklace and non-white shoes and you are good! Maybe bring a non-white cardigan incase you feel a little uncomfortable wearing white on top when you get there.

Actually the whole “no white at weddings” rule seems to be something that has snowballed in *recent* years. The old ladies are more likely to be going by the more general rule of “no dressing as if you were the bride”. Which means, no floor-length evening gowns at afternoon weddings regardless of the colour, no all-white very-elaborate dresses, and other than that don’t get too het up about what colour people are wearing. For that matter, at outdoor weddings in the hot sun, I wouldn’t bat an eye at young girls’ wearing simple white sundressessince that used to be perfectly standard — and nowadays the only reason I’d worry about that, would be for fear of the bride’s reaction!

I wouldn’t mind if someone wore that to my wedding. I think as long as white is not the main color its fine.

That is totally fine – it is not all white and not bridal AT ALL!
