I really loved this in the store but now I’m not so sure. I don’t really like the idea of having an enhancer as my band because it looks silly on its own. And I like the tradition of a wedding band that can stand alone. But I like the symmatry of having something on both sides of my e-ring. Are enhancers tacky? Plus I’m not sure if it really matches my engagement ring. I do really like how it looks from afar. Kind of chunky and swirly. But up close the differences are more obvious. Which I kind of like, but at the same time, don’t like. Gah!
What do you all think of this enhancer? Does it go with my engagement ring? What are your thoughts on having an enhancer as your wedding band? Help me decide!

@MrsSmitty: GORGEOUS! It compliments your rings perfectly!!

@MrsSmitty: i think the enhancer looks ok with your ring. i do agree though that the big downside with an enhancer as your band is that you can’t wear it by itself.
i would suggest trying on a few more bands to see what else you like.

Wow, it looks great. It’s hard to find enhancers that fit that nicely. Good job.

The enhancer is really pretty with the ring, but I’d still look at some bands to see if there are any you like. You could get 2 bands and wear one on either side of the ering. Then you could just wear 1 of them when you don’t feel like wearing the ering.

I think it matches just fine with your ring. It’s a little contemporary for my taste, but it does match and it looks good with your e-ring.
Since you want a band you can wear alone, have you tried on something in a similar style to the setting of your band? Or a plain band? Or a thinner pave band (if you like the mismatched look)?
It should be noted that I’m pretty conservative/matchy and have the band that matches my e-ring, so I may not be the best person to comment.

I love it! I almost ended up getting a similar enhancer for mine! At first I was also torn about mixing styles.. but I really do love it. And I love how yours looks too.
haha I so feel you! I ended up gettin an enhancer because honestly I don’t ever think about just wearing a band by itself.. unless I’m at the beach or in a country lik MX. In those cases I have a cheap ss band that I wear that I don’t mind getting nasty/possibly losing.
anyways here’s mine, a crap pic from before I got the enhancer resized (now there’s less gap…). But it has pave diamonds on my ering.. and channel set ones on my enhancer. I’ll see if I can snap a better pic.

Not my taste. Looks a little 80’s ish.

You wanted opinions so I will say that I honestly don’t like it. I think it distracts from your engagement ring, and to me it looks a bit dated. It reminds me of those 80s rings that had way too much going on. I would get 2 thin bands if you want the symmetry.
I am not saying I feel this way about all enhancers. This particular one is not my cup of tea, I guess.

@canarydiamond: I agree. I’m not a fan

I think it looks GREAT with your ring!! Honesty, love it! I really enhancers and wish I had originally got one.

@MrsSmitty: I think it matches ok if that’s the style you’re looking for. I don’t like it though, and I think it really takes away from your e-ring.
I like the symmatry of having something on both sides of my e-ring. Are enhancers tacky?
If you like the symmetry, you should buy stacking bands and put one on either side. They could match, or they could be different. Yes, imo enhancers are tacky.
I have ring envy for your ring! Love it!!

@canarydiamond: I agree. I don’t care for it.
OP, it only matters if you like it! Btw, I do love your ering!! 🙂

No, I do not think enhancers are tacky. As a matter of fact I really like what this does for your ring and how it looks on your hand.
I wouldn’t think twice about getting it. My sis-in-law has an enhancer and was married with it 30 years ago. It looks a little like yours, except yours is more comtemporary. Lovely rings!
