I have a slight paranoia that any pregnancy I have might be delivered like something out of an Alien movie, so yeah... that's a little freaky.
I love stuff like this! It's creepy but so cool. I actually find that picture pretty cute :)
Pregnancy in general is weird to me. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that there's another whole human being inside of you... to me, it's this mysterious kicking ball until it comes out and then ta-da! - it's a baby!
I pretty much think that pic is fake. I am 34+ weeks pregnant now and, while I do get a little knee or foot or something that does kind of poke out, I really don't think you could see an actual foot print showing like that. Much less be able to take a pic of it.
"It's definitely Photoshop.
1. To see that impression, the amniotic fluid would have to be gone.
2. The angle the foot and leg would have to be at and the force required to make the impression would be impossible for a child that size and strength.
3. The shadowing given the location of the light source is off-the heel and ball of foot and toes are all shadowed at slightly different angles."

@FutureMrsRugbee: Thank you both! I was plotting on how to keep FI and his weirdo baby making juice far, far away from me, but I feel much better knowing it's a fake.
I love babies, but that does freak me out a little bit. Videos where you can see extreme movement kind of freak me out too.
Like this one:

ETA: Oh and I know that the photo is likely photoshopped, but I don't care. It's still creepy.
@FloretteLiz: Every fiber of my being was against clicking that link, but I did it anyway. GAG.
@LMD84: Sorry! Lol that's how I was when I saw a link to that video on another page a long time ago. I kept saying "I'm not going to click it! I'm not going to click it!" About five minutes later I just said "Ah what the heck!" The only thing that made me feel better was showing that to my FI. Not much grosses him out, but that did!
@FloretteLiz: Good God, that's my worst nightmare... for real.
@FloretteLiz: Watching this video has been my greatest regret!
Yeah, sorry...that's super gross. I love pregnancy and I think it's so beautiful but THAT photo itself, yuck.
I found it when I was pregnant, freaked out and sent it to my sister. She actually named the photographer who photo shopped that so I felt more at ease. The only "real" thing that scared me while I was pregnant was when my son would get his foot stuck near my rib. Oy. That was painful.
Okay, I knew that the first photo had to be photoshopped; thank you @FutureMrsRugbee: for confirming that.
I also wanted to add something about the video link for those of you that may be planning to get pregnant and/or are pregnant. The movement that they are experiencing in the video is not typical. I am thinking that there has to be more than one baby in there for that much movement.
I have had three full term babies and speaking from experience, they were pretty active; depending on what I ate, etc., but they were never that active. I could; however, see movement on several occasions and at first was pretty freaked out, but after I got over the initial shock, I was quite happy with their activity because I knew they were very healthy and anxious to come out and be in the real world. It isn't so bad when it is your own body that this is happening to. It is actually pretty amazing :-)
@noritake22: I can see that being a pregnancy with multiples. When my FSIL was pregnant you could see the baby move. I mean you could really see him move... Not quite to that extent, but her belly would dip and rise quite a bit. He was an extrememly active baby and fairly long. I'm not sure if the length and weight of the baby would make a difference...
@SapphireSun: Just for you ;)

"In the maternity ward, no one can hear you scream."
@FloretteLiz: That video grossed me out!
Haha I was seriously just talking to FI about how pregnancy freaks me out! I mean I think its beautiful and I can't wait to have kids... but the idea of it, like an actual living being inside of you, still totally freaks me out, haha.
@linguo42: Lol! My FI would love that one.
Ladies you knew the video would be gross!!!! I thought about putting a little disclaimer in my post, but I thought it would make everybody want to click the link more. Kind of like when you tell a kid not to do something and they do it anyway.
@linguo42: I'm going to have to save that pic. My DH would get a kick out of that one.
@FloretteLiz: @yrret107: I fully admit that when DH and I eventually have kids, this maternity shirt is one of the first things I'll buy:

@linguo42: OMG! YES! Haha I won't be TTC for a few years, but I want to bookmark that so bad!
as a non mom - i really hate maternity pics and wished my friends wouldnt force me to ensure photos of their naked tummies
yes babies and pregnancy is beautiful but i still hate maternity pics
@linguo42: Haha, I might have to "right click, save picture..." that just in case I ever do get knocked up and want to over share on facebook.
But for real, I think it's a legitimate fear that an alien baby might burst out of your belly. You never know.
I'm excited to be a mom, be pregnant, all that great stuff...but the elbows and kicks to the ribs, and the fact that there is a miniature PERSON in there with hair and fingernails (I don't know why those two things in particular creep me out, but they do) is just veerrrrryy weird.
*goes to watch creepy wiggly video and cringe some more*
ETA- eloping, I agree about the belly-baring photos. For your personal collection or a bedroom photo, sure, but a fitted tee shows me just how pregnant you are as well. Eep.
inguo42- lol... when I was preggers my FI would call his friends over to be if they were hanging out to see the "alien" It is weird, freaky at first, and honestly other than mine it still a little odd to think about.

I know the bee loves babies. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but when I see pictures like this I absolutely panic about pregnancy. It's a freaking foot showing through your freaking stomach. Am I alone here?
