I think it is a beautiful summer look. It doesn't scream July 4th to me at all, however, it def is a summer look.......I think it's great for a July wedding!!!!
I think it is beautiful. others may not agree with this but any time i see red white and blue i think patriotic but since the blue is so much lighter it definitely doesn't scream it =)
I think it does, sorry. The color combo is beautiful though, an easy way to fix it would be to make either the red or blue an accent color and use less of it!
I agree with kingytobe to me it does, especially with your wedding date in July sorry I would pick different colors
Just make sure you keep the blue out of the royal/navy range and I think it will look very chic and not too "patriotic"
I like it but to me it does look very American.
I love it! It doesn't SCREAM patriotic, but it might whisper it a bit? I'd go with it anyway, beautiful!
Not even a little. The blue is way off the true patriotic colors, so I think you're fine.
I really like it!! It doesn't seem so patriotic to me. But it's definitely a great bold summer color scheme. I say go for it.
I might be a bit biased though, because my color scheme is similar- I'm having white, navy, and gold with pops of deep red. I was really worried about it being patriotic- and with navy and deep red most things did look that way- so I ended up doing pops of red. And I'm not planning to use the red and blue side by side. Maybe that's something you should consider if you are still nervous about it, but I don't think you have any problems.
@Cc7492: You made a good point. I guess if I put some ivory or white in between the two colors and separate them a bit then it wouldnt be so bad. Never thought of it that way. Thanks a lot!!
@cyndistar3: so you're saying definitely stick with teal/turquoise and steer away from navy? Gotcha!
it screams 4th of july to me, but I still like it! I think with a few hints of another color (like the yellow-orangish pomander thingys in one of the photos), that would lessen the patriotism! :) if you like it, I don't think you should change it though!
@karmalkween: I could make it look less 4th of july-ish if I used ivory instead of white right? That would be perfect b/c my dress is gonna be ivory. Im excited!! Thanks guys!!
I'm a little late for input, but I hope you went with your heart & picked this palette! It's not patriotic to me at all, although I am Canadian, maybe that's why ;-) I love it!!
I love it! The turquoise/aqua blue and the raspberry are nice summer colors, and I don't think it will look too patriotic, especially if you stay away from stars and stripes :)

I absolutely love this color scheme. It's turquoise and red. I love it because it's so bright and bold, and it REALLY catsches the eye. But does it scream 4th of July? My wedding is in fact in July, but I DO NOT want my wedding look like independence day ya know? Like i said, i love this palette, and would really like to use it if it has no associations with the holiday.
