Honestly, it depends on where the seams are. I hope that you can get your dress let out because I am sure that will take a lot of stress off of you!
Going to call them now to see if they know anything about this style # over the phone...if not I'm going in this week.
I think that dress would like fine upped a size, if they can do it! Good luck!
Sorry to hear that! What is the "weight gain" from? If it's water retention or swelling (steroids) then it's probably unavoidable but other meds that can cause weight gain might not always. Just because it is a side effect doesn't mean that it wil happen to everyone. Hopefully you can stay active and eat healthy in the next few months and avoid the let out!
Most bridal gowns have excess material in the seams and can be let out. If DB can't tell you over the phone take it to a seamstress and they should be able to look at it and tell you how much room there is for letting it out.
In the event it doesn't have enough room to let out, we have other tricks for making the dress larger. So don't worry too much you have options.

Unfortunately I have a medical condition that will require me to take medicine which will up me a dress size between now and my wedding (August 2010, this is March 2010). There's little we can do about it.
I've had this great size 8 dress and I'll probably no longer be able to fit in it by the time of my alterations in June. But a size 10 would work. I'll call David's this week and find out if this is a dress that can be taken out. This is a discontinued DB dress so I don't know if they can just tell me over the phone.
Just for some early answers, does this look like a dress that can be let out? I'd only need the letting out for my stomach and upper body.
Thanks! :)
